Abstract: A waste receptacle for collecting waste with a carrier that allows for easy transport. The receptacle uses a closing system to manage odor, and an actuator system to open and close the closing system. The closing system has a clamping mechanism housed inside a body that can clamp a bag placed inside the body with the opening of the bag disposed about the clamping mechanism. The receptacle may also have a lid in which actuation of the actuator system causes the clamping mechanism to open and close simultaneously with the lid. The actuation system utilizes pedals that can be replaced with a handle actuator.
