Abstract: A method and system configured to correct a non-compliant, excessive gap condition between a door and a frame, correct a non-compliant, excessive gap condition between a pair of doors at the meeting edge, correct a non-compliant, excessive gap condition at least using a formed metal edge and mechanical fasteners, and correct a non-compliant, excessive gap condition at least using a formed metal edge and mechanical fasteners, whereby the formed metal edge may vary in dimensions to accommodate uneven gaps.
Abstract: A method and system for achieving compliance for a fire-rated door assembly. To comply with fire rated door assembly codes and compliance, all components, including hardware must be listed and labeled by a certification agency, such as Underwriters Laboratories (UL). The disclosure may include a hardware preparation filler solution which allows fire-rated doors to maintain fire rating and compliance when removing or modifying hardware, or converting between hardware types.
