  • Patent number: 6999730
Abstract: A wireless communication terminal that ensures communication using a frequency band suitable for line-of-sight communication even if an obstruction is present in a wireless communication path or a status of a radio wave propagation path dynamically changes. An initial detecting section detects whether it is possible to communicate with another terminal of a master station mode. If communication is possible, a slave-mode setting section sets up a slave station mode, registers the other terminal in a master terminal storage section and transmits to the other terminal a communication indicating that a local terminal is subordinate to the master terminal. If communication is not possible, a master-mode setting section sets up a master station mode when a transmission is received indicating that the other terminal is subordinate to the local terminal. A slave terminal registration section registers the other terminal in a slave terminal storage section.

  • Patent number: 6995632
Abstract: Disclosed is a high-frequency band pass filter of simple structure for use in a frequency range from hundreds of MHz to over ten GHz. The band pass filter comprises a magnetic loss sheet 1 prepared by dispersing fine powder of averaged particle size up to 30 ?m of a soft magnetic metal such as an Fe—Cr—Al alloy, an input signal line 2 and an output signal line 3 made of a conductive strip disposed in serial direction with a gap between them, a capacitance means connecting the opposite ends of the lines and a GND line 4 disposed on the reverse side of the sheet. The capacitance means may be either a chip condenser 5, or that formed by disposing an internal line 7 of another conductive strip with intermediation of insulating film 6 to bridge on the input signal line 2 and the output signal line 3 to have overlapping parts.

  • Patent number: 6987402
Abstract: A new reversible element with six lines (three input lines and three output lines) and two states are proposed. This element is computationally universal in the sense that a universal Turing machine can be constructed from it. Two reversible elements, each of which has two input lines, two output lines, and two states. These two elements are related to each other in the sense that their functionalities are each other's inverse, so, one of the elements can be obtained from the other by reversing the operations conducted by the other, and interpreting the other's input lines as output lines and the other's output lines as input lines. Together these two elements form a computationally universal set, i.e., a universal Turing machine can be constructed from them.

  • Patent number: 6977406
Abstract: The ultra high-speed vertical short channel insulated-gate static induction transistor with uniform operating characteristic which has the drain layer 3 consisting of an epitaxial single crystal layer on the main surface 2 of substrate 1, the channel layer 4 with thickness 1000 ? or less on the drain layer, the source layer 5 consisting of an epitaxial single crystal layer on the channel layer 4, and the insulated-gates 6 and 7 on the sidewalls of the drain, the channel, and the source layers. Since the thickness of 1000 ? or less is accurately controlled using the molecular layer epitaxial method and the channel layer 4 is grown up, the X-ray photolithography is not needed. Since the gate oxide film is formed by low temperature CVD using active oxygen, impurity re-distribution does not occur.

  • Patent number: 6959052
Abstract: A channel evaluator acquires a change predicted value from a known symbol, and a compensator compensates for a first symbol using the change predicted value. A demodulator restores a portion corresponding to this symbol with another subcarrier. A replica generator acquires a transmission replica of the restored symbol. The channel evaluator performs complex division on the replica with the symbol to acquire an amplitude phase ratio. A detector compares the amplitude phase ratio with an amplitude phase ratio acquired immediately previously. In case where an elimination condition is satisfied, the detector disregards the amplitude phase ratio acquired currently and uses an immediately previous value instead, an averaging unit averages amplitude phase ratios to acquire a next change predicted value, and the compensator compensates for a next symbol using the change predicted value. Hereinafter, the sequence of processes is repeated.
