Patents Assigned to Native Instruments GmbH
  • Patent number: 9857948
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method, an apparatus and a computer-readable storage means for adjusting at least one parameter, which can be used for enhancing the user experience of adjusting parameters, especially of adjusting parameters in common audio software through a system of assignable rotary encoders with capacitive-sensing knob caps and a parameter type aware software. In particular, the present invention ensures that parameters of (audio) software can be adjusted quickly, without diverting a user's attention from actual tasks. For this purpose, a method is proposed, where at least one touch sensitive input element is provided, for at least one of the input elements at least one of a time between subsequent sensed contacts and a time of the presence of the contact is determined, based on the determined time it is decided, whether the contact is a tap gesture, and a parameter is adjusted depending from the tap gesture.

  • Patent number: 8750530
Abstract: A method and an arrangement for processing audio data, and a corresponding computer program and a corresponding computer-readable storage medium, which can be used, in particular, in the field of audio software and sampling. At least a first spectrum with at least one first spectral property is removed from the spectrum of the audio data, the resulting spectrum of the audio data is transformed after removal of the at least one first spectrum, and the at least one first spectrum or at least one of the first spectrum and/or at least one second spectrum with at least one second spectral property are impressed on the transformed spectrum.

  • Patent number: 8675454
Abstract: Method and apparatus for signal processing for controlling a digital audio source may include retrieving a time code signal from a rotating recording medium. The time code signal may be a sum of a binary signal and a sinusoidal pilot signal in the audible range, and the binary signal has a symbol frequency less than a frequency of the pilot signal. The time code signal may be filtered to recover the pilot signal and the binary signal. An estimated speed of rotation of the recording medium may be determined from a recovered pilot signal, and an estimated position may be determined from a recovered binary signal, for controlling the digital audio source.

  • Publication number: 20110078701
Abstract: The invention is directed to a method and an arrangement for distributing the computing load in data processing system while executing of block-based computing instructions, as well as a corresponding computer program and a corresponding computer-readable storage medium, which can be used to uniformly distribute the computing load in processors for periodically occurring computing operations. The block-based computing instructions are hereby divided into blocks, wherein a block requires a number of time-sequential incoming input values, wherein the number can be predetermined for each block. A particular area of application is the field of digital processing of multimedia signals, such as in particular audio signals, video signals, and the like.
