Abstract: The present invention relates to a high protection UVA/UVB composition comprising (a) about 16 to about 52% by weight of physical filter selected from the group comprising titanium dioxide particles, zinc oxide particles, an compound-based benzotriazole particles and mixtures thereof; (b) about 6 to about 10% by weight of a non-animal hectorite dispersion; and (c) optionally, about 2 to about 20% by weight of a sensory modifier selected from the group comprising: silicones, esters, silica and mixtures thereof, wherein all percentages are based on the total weight of the high protection UVA/UVB composition.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a high protection UVA/UVB composition comprising (a) about 0.5 to about 7.5% by weight of phenylbenzimidazole sulfonic acid; (b) about 0.1 to about 2.5% by weight of triethanolamine; (c) about 1 to about 11% by weight of an UVA chemical filter; (d) about 10 to about 50% by weight of an additional chemical filter; and (e) about 40 to about 70% by weight of an alcoholic carrier, wherein all percentages are based on the total weight of the high protection UVA/UVB composition and the water is not present. This composition have a high SPF and an appropriated PPD having a fluid and transparent aspect and having pleasant sensory characteristics.

Abstract: There is described an oil-in-water emulsion free of surfactant agents comprising: A) At least a cross-polymer acrylate/alkyl-acrylate or derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof in the aqueous phase of the emulsion; b) At least a polyacrylate or derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof in the oily phase of the emulsion, and c) At least a neutralizing agent. Further, the present invention refers to a process of obtaining a surfactant-free emulsion and its use in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals compositions. The emulsion in question can be applied to all kinds of skin, being also indicated for people with sensitive skin.

The system comprises a first package and a second package for cosmetics, the first and second packages being respectively comprised by a first and second bottle, the first and second bottles being respectively associated with a first cap and a second cap, the first package for cosmetics being docked to the second package for cosmetics upon a compression movement, and concomitantly, upon the cooperation between a first cap projection and a second cap projection respectively arranged on the first and second caps, the first package for cosmetics being undocked from the second package for cosmetics upon a traction movement substantially contrary to the compression movement, the first cap projection having a geometry which is identical to the second cap projection.

Abstract: The present application describes an antioxidant complex having a synergistic effect between its ingredients. Said mixture comprises: a) vitamin E and/or derivatives thereof; b) green tea extract and/or derivatives thereof; and c) cacao extract. Examples of cosmetic and pharmaceutical compositions comprising said antioxidant complex and a physiologically acceptable carrier are also described. The antioxidant complex of the present invention, as well as the aforementioned compositions, aid in preventing and protecting against cell and skin damages resulting from the action of free radicals, and also provide DNA, protein and cell membrane protection.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of a compound of general formula: wherein X is a CiO-24 carbon chain with “n” unsaturations wherein “n” is an integer from zero to 3 for the preparation of a cosmetic composition and a pharmaceutical composition to increase the skin permeation and retention of active ingredients. Abstract: The present invention describes a cosmetic composition for skin cleansing, the end product of which has peculiar and improved physical characteristics with regard to plasticity, malleability, moldability and non-friability. Said peculiar and improved physical characteristics occur because of the presence of a structural analog of vegetable starch in the formulation of the end product. Said cosmetic composition for skin cleansing comprises: at least one surfactant; fecula; at least one cosmetic agent and a cosmetically acceptable carrier.

Abstract: It is described a method for assessment of aesthetic and morphological conditions of the skin and prescription of cosmetic and/or dermatological treatment comprising the following steps: A) obtaining information on the age and life habits of a user; B) performing a biometric analysis of a corporeal portion of the user; C) processing the results from the analyses of steps A and B and comparing them with predetermined data on aesthetic and morphological factors of the skin; D) obtaining a skin model of the user according to the data processed in step C; E) linking the user's skin model to predetermined data contained in a database about cosmetic and/or dermatological products; and F) prescribing a treatment and pre-selected cosmetic and/or dermatological products.

Abstract: It describes an extraction process for obtaining a standardized extract of quercetin and 3-0-methylquercetin from inflorescences of macela-do-campo (Achyrocline satureioides) characterized by comprising of the following steps: A) grinding the inflorescences of Achyrocline satureioides to obtain a material of ground plant; B) submitting the ground plant to at least four sequential stages of hydro-alcoholic extraction at a temperature from 60° C. to 80° C.1 for 3 to 4 hours for each stage, in order to obtain 4 intermediary hydro-alcoholic extracts; C) combining the 4 intermediary hydro-alcoholic extracts; D) concentrating the intermediary hydro-alcoholic extracts mixture; in order to obtain up to a maximum of 20% of the initial mass of the intermediary hydro-alcoholic extracts; E) drying the material obtained in (D).

Abstract: It is disclosed a skin clarifying complex comprising gallic acid and linoleic acid. It is further provided that the gallic acid can be obtained from Shinus sp and the linoleic acid can be obtained from passion flower oil. It is further disclosed the cosmetic or pharmaceutical use of the clarifying complex and a cosmetic or pharmaceutical composition comprising 0.25 to 10%, by weight, of said clarifying complex. The clarifying complex exhibits a high skin, spot and sprecke clarifying effect.

Abstract: The present invention refers to an oil-in-water nanoemulsion comprising Brazil nut oil and an emulsifying system for cosmetic use, particularly for hair care. The emulsifying system comprises at least one non-ionic surfactant and at least one cationic component selected from a cationic surfactant and a cationic polymer. Another objective of the present invention is cosmetic compositions and cosmetic products that comprise a nanoemulsion characterized above.
