Abstract: A method for collecting error code history includes detecting a fault caused by errors in a machine, initiating a dispatch request from the machine to a service location, generating a first quick response code in response to a first input signal from a technician, where the first quick response code encodes first configuration items that describe the machine and first error codes that characterize the detected errors, presenting a first graphical image of the first quick response code on a display, performing a self-test in the machine in response to a second input signal, generating a second quick response code after the self-test has been completed, where the second quick response code encodes second configuration items that describe the machine and second error codes, and presenting a second graphical image of the second quick response code on the display.

Abstract: A method including receiving, in a security device, a user object storing stored biometric data describing a biometric parameter of the user. Sensed biometric data is generating by sensing directly, using a sensor, the biometric parameter of the user. The stored biometric data is compared to the sensed biometric data. A confidence factor is determined using a first degree of trust, assigned to the object, combined with a second degree of match between the stored biometric data and the sensed biometric data. A user input is received indicating a desired activity. A risk factor is determined based on a combination of the confidence factor and the user input. The risk factor is compared to a selected pre-determined threshold. The user is granted a selected level of access to the security device from among different levels of access to the security device when the risk factor satisfies the selected pre-determined threshold.

Abstract: An automatic teller machine includes a controller and a cash dispenser unit. The controller is in electronic communication with dispense authorization parties. The controller is configured to generate a requested transaction in response to a manual entry of a requested cash value, and send a withdrawal request to a given dispense authorization party. The withdrawal request includes a unique nonce. The controller is configured to receive a withdrawal authorization from the given dispense authorization party. The withdrawal authorization includes a secure dispense token and a dispense nonce. The cash dispenser unit is configured to generate the unique nonce in response to the requested transaction, verify that the secure dispense token and the dispense nonce are valid, and dispense a currency matching the requested cash value in response to the secure dispense token and the dispense nonce being valid.

Abstract: A cash cassette includes a housing, a pick-up module, a push plate, and one or more separator modules. The housing has a dispense end, a floor, and a size suitable to store multiple notes. Each note has a particular note edge. The pick-up module is disposed at the dispense end of the housing and is configured to transfer one note at a time out of the housing. The push plate is movably disposed inside the housing and is configured to bias the notes against the pick-up module. The separator modules are disposed on the floor of the housing proximate to the pick-up module. Each separator module has a rough surface that engages the particular note edges as the notes are pushed onto the separator modules by the push plate. The rough surface loosens individual notes from each other as the notes move across the separator modules toward the pick-up module.

The pick-up roller may include a pick-up element configured to pick up and transfer a media sheet, and the front-edge alignment element provided at a position opposite to the pick-up element. During a process of picking up a stacked media sheet and transferring it into a space between a feed roller and a separation roller unit, the front-edge alignment element may align in advance a front edge of a media sheet disposed subsequent to the medial sheet that is being transferred, to a position of the entrance between the feed roller and the separation roller unit, and thereafter, the pick-up element may pick up the media sheet aligned by the front-edge alignment element and transfer it into the space between the feed roller and the separation roller unit.

Information regarding planned future deposits is recorded, at least one record visible appearance feature is stored or generated, and data corresponding to the at least one record appearance feature is stored in associated relation with deposit data. The at least one record appearance feature is made visible on a deposit item. The deposit item is subsequently presented to a depository that includes an image sensor. The image sensor operates to read the at least one record appearance feature. At least one controller in the depository causes a determination to be made that at least one record appearance feature corresponds to a pre-registered deposit and such determination enables the deposit item to be received in the depository.

The conveying roller unit is coupled to the frame at a position at which the frame medium entrance is provided, the conveying roller unit configured to convey a medium passing through the frame medium entrance. The multi-banknote cassette includes a movable stopper which is installed in a stack guide for guiding banknotes introduced into a cassette body of the banknote cassette toward a banknote stopper, and rotated to protrude from or retreat into a transfer path of the banknotes. When a banknote having a relatively small size among the banknotes inserted into the banknote cassette is introduced, the movable stopper is rotated to protrude from the stack guide and regulates the front end of the introduced banknote, and when a banknote having a relatively large size is introduced, the movable stopper is rotated to retreat into the stack guide, and a banknote stopper installed at the rear of the stack guide regulates the front end of the introduced bank.
