Abstract: Provided herein may be a pick-up roller with a front-edge alignment element and a media separation apparatus using the pick-up roller. The pick-up roller may include a pick-up element configured to pick up and transfer a media sheet, and the front-edge alignment element provided at a position opposite to the pick-up element. During a process of picking up a stacked media sheet and transferring it into a space between a feed roller and a separation roller unit, the front-edge alignment element may align in advance a front edge of a media sheet disposed subsequent to the medial sheet that is being transferred, to a position of the entrance between the feed roller and the separation roller unit, and thereafter, the pick-up element may pick up the media sheet aligned by the front-edge alignment element and transfer it into the space between the feed roller and the separation roller unit.

Abstract: A portable cassette holder includes a frame detachably coupled to an outer surface of an automated teller machine having a housing medium entrance, a conveying roller unit and a power supply connection unit. The frame includes a frame medium entrance formed at a position corresponding to the housing medium entrance and configured to mount a cassette thereon. The conveying roller unit is coupled to the frame at a position at which the frame medium entrance is provided, the conveying roller unit configured to convey a medium passing through the frame medium entrance. The power supply connection unit is provided in the frame and configured to be electrically connected to the automated teller machine so as to receive electric power.

The multi-banknote cassette includes a movable stopper which is installed in a stack guide for guiding banknotes introduced into a cassette body of the banknote cassette toward a banknote stopper, and rotated to protrude from or retreat into a transfer path of the banknotes. Abstract: The present invention relates to an ultrasonic sensor for detecting double sheets and a method of detecting double sheets using the same, in which in configuring the ultrasonic sensor for detecting double sheets of banknotes passing through a transfer path, the ultrasonic sensor is configured to include an ultrasonic wave generator and an ultrasonic wave receiver provided in pair to face each other in a direction perpendicular to a transfer direction of the banknotes with the transfer path for transferring the banknotes interposed therebetween, and periodicity of a reception signal detected by the ultrasonic wave receiver is determined to detect whether a zero sheet, a single sheet or double sheets of the banknotes pass through the transfer path according to generation or not of the periodic signal and/or a frequency of the generation.
