Abstract: Described herein is a method for identifying at least one route that will limit the oscillations of a vehicle, said method comprising: providing a starting point and a destination point on a map stored in a database; identifying a plurality of possible routes between said starting point and said destination point; determining at least one cost function associated with at least one route, wherein said cost function depends on at least one of the number of bends, the distance between the bends, and the radii of curvature of the bends of said route; displaying the routes on a user display in a graphic arrangement that depends on the previously determined cost functions.

Abstract: An apparatus for communications which can be configured with different dimensions and performance so as to suit different circumstances of use. The apparatus consists of a typical device for wireless communications, such as a smartphone, which can be aggregated with a bigger device offering better fruition of images and videos and better characteristics in terms of battery life, memories, cameras, and the like. The data necessary for the operation of the apparatus and the data of interest for the user are synchronized automatically as aggregation occurs.

Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a system for the reproduction of a specific multimedia content are provided. The method includes the step of acquiring one or more samples of a specific multimedia content reproduced by a mobile multimedia radio/television apparatus, where the specific multimedia content is included in a first signal emitted by a broadcast-type radio/television network, including the further step of determining an identifier of the specific multimedia content and the value of a quality parameter of the first signal. According to the value of the quality parameter of the first signal, further steps include receiving on a multimedia telephone apparatus the specific multimedia content through a second signal emitted by a cellular telephone network, sending the specific multimedia content to one or more multimedia reproduction units included in the mobile multimedia radio/television apparatus.

Abstract: A method for validating an electronic transaction, including a step 100) of starting an electronic transaction transmitting wirelessly identifying information from an electronic payment instrument module of a mobile phone to a POS terminal, that forwards said identifying information together with transaction data to a retailer network and to a server. The method also includes the steps: 110) activating said mobile phone for starting a voice telephone call with the server; 120) the server replies said voice telephone call and requests the customer to validate the electronic transaction by means of a validating PIN code; or initiating a voice telephone call from the server to the mobile phone, wherein the server requests the customer to validate the electronic transaction by means of a validating PIN code; 130) the customer validates the electronic transaction communicating the validating PIN code to the server during said voice telephone call.

Abstract: A method for providing a main content and an extra content to a user by accessing said extra content through a reference item. The method includes receiving said main content from a first source and displaying said main content by said first device. Also, based on said reference item, said extra content is retrieved and/or received from a second source and simultaneously displayed together with said main content on said first device. Or said reference item may be forwarded to a second device, and thereby said extra content is retrieved and/or received from a second source by said second device and, simultaneously, the main content is displayed on said first device and the extra content is displayed on said second device.

Abstract: An information distribution system, of the type including distribution means adapted to distribute said information in a first predefined language, said distribution means including at least one distribution device coupled to at least one control unit. The invention is characterized in that said system includes connection means for establishing a telephone connection with a mobile telephone through a telephone network, said connection means being associated with said distribution means for distributing said information through said at least one device in a second language corresponding to the language of the country where a SIM card has been associated with said mobile telephone that has established said telephone connection.

Abstract: A communication apparatus for providing an indication about a missed telephone call. The apparatus includes receiving means for receiving an incoming call, a control unit for processing said incoming call, and output means for outputting information to an user. The communication apparatus also includes processing means which extracts a cause value contained in a cause information element sent from a network to the communication apparatus, and which outputs to the user an indication related to a missed call via the output means. The cause value indicates whether the call was cleared by the calling user or by the network. The communication apparatus outputs to the user, via the output means, an indication related to whether the missed call was caused by the calling user or by the network.

Abstract: A television set including: interfaces for receiving peripheral sources; a screen for displaying at least one of said sources; a graphic-indications generator for showing on said screen indications relating to said interfaces; a control unit; control means for issuing commands to said television set; a video memory for storing video images obtained by processing said peripheral sources; and a processing means for reducing the dimensions of said peripheral sources to generate said video images and associating said video images to respective graphic indications relating to said interfaces. The association result is displayed on the screen, as a general video image, to allow user to identify the interface associated with the corresponding video image. A pointing element is used to select one of said video images. In response to a command issued by said control means, the contents of said selected video image are shown on said screen in full-screen form.

Abstract: Mobile telephone manages stored telephone data and includes a memory that stores telephone data related to at least one of incoming telephone calls to and outgoing telephone calls from mobile telephone, a personal access code entry device that enables a user of mobile telephone to enter a personal access code, a first list containing public telephone data stored in memory before personal access code is entered. Public telephone data in first list is accessible by all users during operation of mobile telephone, a second list containing private telephone data stored in memory after personal access code is entered. Private telephone data in second list is accessible by user only after entry of personal access code. A device provided for at least one of blocking and rejecting an incoming telephone call when telephone number for incoming call is stored in second list and personal access code has not been entered.

Abstract: Method for managing data with a telephone, and a telephone that manages data. A personal secret access code is entered into the telephone by a user of the telephone. The user may then create a private list that contains telephone numbers associated with the personal secret access code entered by the user. The user can also create a public list that can be accessed by any user of the telephone. However, the telephone numbers contained in the private list may only be accessed by the user that entered the associated personal secret access code.
