Abstract: An image of a customer is associated with a transaction at an enterprise. The image is accessible during enterprise transaction processing for visual inspection. In an embodiment, the image is printed as a receipt that is handled by enterprise personnel to visually ascertain a particular customer that is to receive at least one good and/or service associated with the transaction.
Abstract: Techniques for online price matching are provided. A consumer submits a price offer to a network-based servicer for a product or service. The price offer is directed to or resolved to a specific brick-and-mortar store. The brick-and-mortar store determines whether the price offer can be matched and when it can be matched; a coupon redeemable by the consumer at the brick-and-mortar store is communicated to the consumer. The coupon permits the consumer to acquire the product or service at the price offer provided by an online retailer to the consumer.
Abstract: Techniques for drive-thru mobile ordering are provided. When a consumer's mobile device is detected within a drive-thru queue or within a configurable distance of a Point-Of-Sale (POS) terminal for drive-thru ordering, an interactive ordering interface is presented on the mobile device of the consumer. The consumer places his/her order via that interface and may optionally make payment for the order. The interface interacts with a POS agent of an establishment where the consumer is making the order to take the order and ensure fulfillment of that order.
Abstract: Techniques for retail printing are provided. A handheld device is placed within a configured proximity to a printer and acquires a printer identifier for that printer. The handheld device transmits the identifier and print data opened on the handheld to a printer server service. The printer server service maps the identifier to the printer and forwards the print data to the printer for printing on behalf of the handheld device.
Abstract: Techniques for restaurant transaction processing are provided. A handheld device of a waiter is used to automatically associate a check with a table at a restaurant and to recall and modify that check. In an embodiment, two waiters use one or more handheld devices to automatically transfer a customer's check to one another.
