Abstract: A method and system for use in an advanced wireless communication network is provided. The method comprises: providing, to a group of UEs, a resource multiplexing configuration defining resource multiplexing for cellular and non-cellular communication; and allocating resources to the group of UEs for cellular communication, according to the resource multiplexing configuration. Advantageously, the method enables collisions and interference between D2D and cellular transmissions to be reduced or avoided.
Abstract: To present a region which is not fully monitored, provided is a monitoring device comprising a detection means, an estimation means, a determination means, and a presentation means. The detection means detects a person from an image. The estimation means estimates a region which is being viewed by the person who is detected by the detection means. On the basis of the region estimated by the estimation means, the determination means determines a region which requires special attention within a monitoring area. The presentation means presents information indicating the region which requires special attention determined by the determination means.
Abstract: A second RAN node (2) sends to a radio terminal (3), via a first RAN node (1), an indication of available on-demand system information that is available in a cell of the second RAN node (2). It is thus, for example, possible to enabling notifying a UE of an indication about on-demand system information available in a cell served by a secondary gNB of Inter-RAT dual connectivity between E-UTRA and NR, or available in a cell served by a target gNB of Inter-RAT handover from E-UTRA to NR.
Abstract: Systems and methods for learning and applying a rule set from relational data include receiving a graph representing relational data, wherein nodes represent elements of the graph, and edges represent relationships between nodes, generating an intermediate representation of the graph by mapping features of the nodes and edges of the graph to an intermediate vector representation, wherein the intermediate vector representation contains binary values and/or probabilistic values, learning logical rules that define the nodes and edges of the graph based on the intermediate vector representation r by: defining a maximum satisfiability (MAX-SAT) problem for the graph; and estimating a gradient around a solution of the MAX-SAT problem for the graph to produce the logical rules; and applying the logical rules to a new graph.
Abstract: Provided are a fingerprint reading device and a fingerprint reading method that can appropriately read a fingerprint even when reading a fingerprint of a relatively soft finger that may be easily subjected to significant elastic deformation. The fingerprint reading device includes: a placement portion on which a finger is placed, provided with a reading face so as to be able to move between first and second positions; a drive unit that causes the reading face to move between the first and second positions; and a reading unit that reads a fingerprint when the reading face is positioned at the first position, the drive unit causes the reading face to move to the second position and further move from the second position to the first position, and the reading unit reads a fingerprint when the reading face has moved from the second position to the first position.

Abstract: A cooling system includes: a local cooler that is positioned near a heat source and evaporates a liquid-phase refrigerant by receiving heat from the heat source; a turbo compressor that compresses a gas-phase refrigerant that absorbed the heat in the local cooler; an outdoor unit that condenses the gas-phase refrigerant supplied from the turbo compressor by heat dissipation; and an expansion valve that depressurizes the refrigerant supplied from the outdoor unit and sends the refrigerant to the local cooler. The refrigerant is a low-pressure refrigerant having a condensing pressure lower than a predetermined value.
