    Abstract: The present invention provides a sealed battery, in which leakage can be detected in reliable manner, a method for manufacturing the sealed battery, and a method for detecting leakage of the sealed battery. The invention provides a sealed battery containing helium, a method for manufacturing the sealed battery, and a method for detecting leakage. From inside a battery case sealed except an electrolyte inlet, the air is withdrawn, and pressure is applied by a gas containing helium under pressure higher than the atmospheric pressure through the electrolyte inlet. The electrolyte is injected, and after the electrolyte and the gas containing helium have been injected, the electrolyte inlet is sealed.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a closed type battery that is free from any sealing defects due to a sag of caulking with time, etc. The closed type battery is constructed of a monolithic electrode terminal that comprises an insulating member for covering the inner surface of a through-hole formed through a metal sheet for sealing up an opening of a battery can and both surfaces of the metal sheet around the through-hole, and an electrode-drawing sheet having a synthetic resin layer formed on one surface thereof, which sheet is located on the surface of the insulating member positioned on the outer surface of the battery while the synthetic resin layer comes in contact therewith, wherein the electrode-drawing sheet and the insulating member are integrated together by means of an electrode-leading pin passed through a through-hole in the electrode-drawing sheet.

It is thus possible to unify the voltage references while computation and communication are executed irrespective of control.

    Abstract: The invention provides a closed type battery wherein there is no need of joining a tab joined to a battery element and an external circuit connection lead to an electrode terminal provided on a battery can via an insulating member. After the battery element is received in the battery can, a tab joined to the battery element is inserted through a tab sleeve formed integrally with a metal sheet of the battery header. In this state, the battery header is attached over an opening in the battery can, and the junction of the battery header and the battery can is sealed up by laser welding. Finally, an insulating member is inserted over the inside surface of the sleeve, which is then caulked.
