Abstract: A device (1) for execution of overcasting seams comprises two needles (3, 4) carrying respective sewing threads, two support arms (6, 9) on each of which two lower (7, 8) and upper (10, 11) loopers respectively, are mounted. The loopers of each support arm (6, 9) interact with the loopers of the other arm (6, 9) and with the needles (3, 4) to form a first and a second overcasting seam portions superposed on each other. The invention also relates to a method to be put into practice by such a device (1), a needle plate to be installed on such a device (1) and a seam consequently obtainable therewith.

Abstract: In a sewing machine with cylindrical base the transport claws are actuated by a device comprising a kinematic transmission mechanism which, through oscillating auxiliary shafts, is connected to a rotating main shaft housed in the foundation to transmit a vertical oscillatory motion to the claws, as well as a lever transmission mechanism which, through transmission levers pivoting according to vertical axes, is interconnected to an auxiliary transport shaft housed in the foundation to transmit a horizontal reciprocating motion to the claws. A reduction in the size of the base of the sewing machine is thus obtained, without thereby penalizing the structural resilience and the operating reliability of the device for the actuation of the transport claws.

Abstract: A muffler for motor compressors for refrigeration appliances consisting of at least three expansion chambers interconnected by passages which are narrower than the chambers; a tube is located in one of said chambers and fastened to the outlet and inlet ports of said chamber. This tube is provided with openings to let the refrigerant gas flow through and for attenuating the resonance frequency of that gas. The diameter of the openings is inversely proportional to the number of openings.

Abstract: In a device for forming ornamental stitch seams, which comprises two or more needles (3a, 3b) moving alternately backward and forward through a needle plate (2) and a looper (5) cyclically movable following an elliptical trajectory (t) under the needle plate (2), the needles (3a, 3b) describe inclined trajectories (y) to form, with the needle plate (2), an acute angle turned towards the sewing direction (A), for crossing the looper trajectory (t) at a "crossing area" that, relative to a vertical direction (v) passing by the point at which the needles (3a, 3b) get through the needle plate (2), is shifted in a direction opposite to the sewing direction (A).

Abstract: A sealed motor-compressor unit having a suction side muffler directly attached to the cylinder head by a niche in the cylinder head which receives the muffler. A "U" shaped spring has two legs contacting sidewalls of the niche and a bight portion which contacts and biases the muffler.

Abstract: A terminal box for a hermetic compressor for connecting electrically the feeding lines to electrical components of a refrigerator casing and the compressor and suitable for coupling to a plate fixed to the compressor, comprising a body, seats formed in an upper pan of the body for housing terminals for feeding lines, a clamp in a lower part of the body for fixing the lines to the body, a cover for covering the body, a snap catch for elastically fixing the body to the plate and a snap catch for elastically fixing the cover to the plate.

Abstract: In a two-needle sewing machine for making an ornamental stitch without a cover stitch, at least one intermediate lug (17) is provided which is disposed in side by side relation with respect to an upper thread take-up (13) engaged to the needle bar (7), said intermediate lug, in the absence of a workpiece (4) on the needle plate (8), is brought to a work position in which it interferes with one of the needle threads (4a, 4b) coming from an auxiliary thread take-up (12) being part of a feed unit for the needle threads. In the presence of the intermediate lug (17) in the work position, the orientation of the needle thread (4a) intercepted by said intermediate lug is suitably deviated with respect to the upper thread take-up (13), so as to cause a tension release on the needle thread itself during the raising steps of the needles (3a, 3) towards the upper dead center of their reciprocating motion.

Abstract: A hermetic motor compressor comprising a shell formed by an upper and a lower cap connected one to the other in such a way that an airtight closure is obtained in the shell, and by feet fixed to the lower cap for positioning the shell in the correct position during its working, the lower cap defining lower cap lateral surfaces having a very large curvature radius connected to first, second, third and fourth curved surfaces. First and second curved surfaces being connected to a lateral plane and third and fourth curved surfaces being connected one to the other, the lower cap defining a sphere-shape in a lower part thereof and a band in the upper part thereof which is joined to the upper cap.

Abstract: In a trimming sewing machine of the type adapted to carry out a two-thread overedge stitch, provision is made for a hooked element (15) integrally associated with the upper looper (10), which hooked element has an end work portion (15a) disposed in parallel side by side relation with the end work portion (10b) of the upper looper. The hooked element (15) engages the sewing thread (3) carried by the needle (2) at the beginning of the downward stroke of the needle. Following the downward stroke of the upper looper (10), the hooked element (15) drags along the sewing thread (3) beyond the lateral edge (5a) of the workpiece (5). Thus paired finishing portions (17a, 17b) are formed along the sewing thread (3) and they extend from each of the insertion points of the needle (2) into the workpiece (5) as far as close to the lateral edge (5a) of the workpiece (5).

Abstract: A muffler system for a refrigeration motor-compressor comprising an upper and lower case, a compressor formed by a motor and by a body in which a muffler is fixed, a tube fixed to the lower case conveying the refrigerant gas into the cases, an asymmetric side groove provided along the muffler and positioned with regard to the tube, through which the gas arrives in the case, in such a way that the refrigerant gas passes near a farther side of the groove with an angle of incidence causing the alien particles suspended in the gas to rebound far from the muffler and the gas to be kept by the groove side nearer to the tube and an inlet in the groove for conveying the gas to the compressor cylinder.

Abstract: Wheel low fabric feeding for sewing machines where oscillations of the feeding shaft are transmitted to two gear couples mounted on free release wheels fixed to a support pivoted free to rotate. By acting on a stitch length regulator device one of these couples engages the feeding wheel for reversing the rotation direction of the wheel and thus the work feeding direction.

Abstract: A machine which draws one by one a certain number of fabric layers, overlaps them and sews them in a completely automatic way, and which is composed of a stripping unit which draws the single fabric layers and disposes of them on a plane, a television camera and an electronic elaborator which determines the position of the fabric layers on the plane, a driving unit which, according to the determined position, draws and overlaps the fabric layers by means of an assembling device, and a sewing unit which receives the overlapped fabric layers from the assembling device and sews them together.

Abstract: An assembling device for fabric layers of simple construction providing two plates connected to each other, one of which carries a plurality of needles and the other of which has a series of corresponding holes. The two plates may be brought near to each other, so that the needles jut out from the holes for transfixing the fabric layers, and may be removed so that the plate with the holes slips off the fabric layers from the needles. A locking mechanism is provided with locks, in an unlockable way, the two plates in their approached position.

Abstract: Automatic size changer on an automatic sewing unit comprising a sewing machine, a clamp set formed at least by two half-clamps, a loader set formed at least by two half-plates for loading the pieces to be sewn in the clamp set, one of the half-clamps and one of the half-plates being mobile for handling various sizes, a motor for moving the mobile clamp and plate and sensor means cooperatable with the mobile half-plate for determining the size of the pieces to be sewn, the sensor means comprising a first pair for determining the tolerance field of the selected size.

Abstract: Automatic device for detaching the cam followers in a sewing machine where a selector knob, when it is rotated, provides the detachment of the cam followers in the first portion of rotation, and positions the desired cam in correspondence of the cam follower in the second portion of rotation. On the reduction collar of the selector knob two opposite grooves are made out, which engage pins transmitting the translation movement to a shaft which operates a cam follower detaching lever.
