Abstract: A machine which draws one by one a certain number of fabric layers, overlaps them and sews them in a completely automatic way, and which is composed of a stripping unit which draws the single fabric layers and disposes of them on a plane, a television camera and an electronic elaborator which determines the position of the fabric layers on the plane, a driving unit which, according to the determined position, draws and overlaps the fabric layers by means of an assembling device, and a sewing unit which receives the overlapped fabric layers from the assembling device and sews them together.

Abstract: An assembling device for fabric layers of simple construction providing two plates connected to each other, one of which carries a plurality of needles and the other of which has a series of corresponding holes. The two plates may be brought near to each other, so that the needles jut out from the holes for transfixing the fabric layers, and may be removed so that the plate with the holes slips off the fabric layers from the needles. A locking mechanism is provided with locks, in an unlockable way, the two plates in their approached position.

Abstract: Automatic size changer on an automatic sewing unit comprising a sewing machine, a clamp set formed at least by two half-clamps, a loader set formed at least by two half-plates for loading the pieces to be sewn in the clamp set, one of the half-clamps and one of the half-plates being mobile for handling various sizes, a motor for moving the mobile clamp and plate and sensor means cooperatable with the mobile half-plate for determining the size of the pieces to be sewn, the sensor means comprising a first pair for determining the tolerance field of the selected size.

Abstract: In a electronic sewing machine a keyboard and a display are provided, operatively connected to a microprocessor, and adapted to permit, in a simple way, the setting of pattern series and of corresponding sewing parameters, as well as the modification, correction, inputting or erasion of one or more patterns of the same pattern series.

Abstract: A process for the introduction of metal elements in a plasma-state into metal melts where the additive element is brought to the plasma state and, by means of an inert carrying gas, is caused to spread in the fluid mass of the metal melt. The additive element is brought to the plasma state by using an electric arc.

Abstract: Automatic device for detaching the cam followers in a sewing machine where a selector knob, when it is rotated, provides the detachment of the cam followers in the first portion of rotation, and positions the desired cam in correspondence of the cam follower in the second portion of rotation. On the reduction collar of the selector knob two opposite grooves are made out, which engage pins transmitting the translation movement to a shaft which operates a cam follower detaching lever.

Abstract: Muffler for hermetic compressor formed by a first portion for attenuating the pulsations and for separating the oil and by a second portion provided with means for damping the gas pulsations transmitted outwardly. A little tube permits the discharge of the oil separated from the refrigerating gas from the first or second portion.

Abstract: Fabric piece stacker applied to a sewing machine which permits loading and sewing a piece while the stacker is in its operative phase, comprising a vertical element at an end of which a first rod is pivoted, connected in turn, through a pin, to a second rod; two parallel bars are fixed at the free ends of the rods and pneumatic cylinders are provided for enabling the vertical element and the two rods to oscillate in sequence in order to stack the sewn piece.

Abstract: A muffler for motor compressors comprising a body closed at the lower side by a cover and provided on its frontal wall with a hole through which the refrigerating gas is sucked. The gas introduced into the interior of the body strikes against the rear wall of the body and is diverted toward two narrow passages formed by the lateral internal walls of the body and by vertical walls of an M-shaped element located internally of the body. The inclined walls of the element favor the collection of the oil which has separated from the refrigerating gas and directs it toward an inclined plane which facilitates the discharge of the oil, by gravity, through a groove made in the body of the muffler.

Abstract: A needle clamp, fixed at the lower end of the needle bar of a sewing machine. A guide member is provided in the lower portion of the needle clamp locating a sewing needle in a predetermined position in the needle clamp. The guide member has a cylindrical opening in its upper portion coupling with the extreme lower portion of the needle bar and in its lower portion a guide hole whose section has substantially the shape of the transverse section of the needle shank.

Abstract: An upper thread cutting unit in buttonhole sewing machines wherein a lever is provided for connecting and disconnecting the support of the thread cutting unit to and from a supporting member, connected via a lever and rod system, to the stop device of the sewing machine. Two appropriately set springs force the thread cutting unit, at the end of the sewing cycle, under the needle to catch and cut the upper thread and force the unit away from the needle to permit raising higher the work presser frame.

Abstract: Process for obtaining, by pig iron casting, machine elements provided with protection cages suitable to preserve delicate portions of machine elements from breaking and deforming during the production phase. The process consists in applying raised impressions of the cages on a pattern for green casting which impression corresponds to a print of a hardened shell reproducing the outer portions of the machine elements.

Abstract: A transformable sewing surface for sewing machines formed of a base consisting of a first section having an upper and lower surface, a second section containing stitch-forming members, extending parallel to the first section and spaced from it, and a platform connected to said first section so as to swing with respect to it in order to assume two positions, in the first of which it is located in the space present between the sections of the base so as to form a continuous sewing surface with it while in the second position it turns with respect to the first section so as to leave the second section free, the connection of the platform being provided with hinges of flexible material by means of which the platform can turn so as to be swung from the first position in which it rests on the lower surface of the first section to the second position where the platform rests on the upper surface of the first section.
