  • Patent number: 11190264
Abstract: A receiving system (1) is configured to determine reception antenna weights for a plurality of antennas and/or antenna elements for each transmitting system of a plurality of transmitting systems (11, 22-65) for receiving wireless signals using receive beamforming. The receiving system is further configured to determine a schedule for receiving the wireless signals. The schedule indicates a resource allocation for each of the transmitting systems. The resource allocation specifies an allocated time period. The receiving system is also configured to inform each transmitting system of the resource allocation and, for each resource allocation in the schedule, receive a plurality of instances of a wireless signal via the antennas and/or antenna elements and combine the instances by using an antenna configuration which is based on at least reception antenna weights determined in relation to a transmitting system associated with the resource allocation.

  • Publication number: 20210364423
Abstract: Concentrations are determined based on a measurement of a composition (X) by Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS). The LIBS spectrum (Sx) comprises resonance peaks (Rk,Rca,Rna) corresponding to the constituents (K,Ca,Na) in the composition (X). The resonance peaks comprise spectral amplitudes (Pk,Pca,Dna,Pna) indicative of the unknown concentrations (Cna,Ck,Cca) of the constituents (K,Ca,Na). A first spectral amplitude (Pk,Pca,Dna) in the LIBS spectrum (Sx) corresponds to the unknown concentration (Ck,Cca,Cna) of a first constituent (K,Ca,Na) to be determined. A second spectral amplitude (Pna) corresponds to a maximum value of a self-reversed resonance peak (Rna) of the first or another constituent (Na) in the LIBS spectrum (Sx). An amplitude ratio (Pk/Pna, Pca/Pna, Dna/Pna) is calculated between the first spectral amplitude (Pk,Pca,Dna) and the second spectral amplitude (Pna) and the ratio is matched with calibration data to determine concentrations.

  • Patent number: 11182875
Abstract: A projection metadata system and method are provided for providing projection metadata to a rendering system for use in rendering a panoramic scene. A rendering system and method are provided for rendering the panoramic scene using the projection metadata. The projection metadata may comprise machine readable data which may directly provide the coordinate mapping to be used in by the rendering system to render the panoramic scene. For example, an executable script may be provided which, when executed, carries out the coordinate mapping. Compared to known ways of signalling a rendering system which projection to use, which may conventionally involve selecting a projection from a number of predefined projections and signalling the selection, the use of projection metadata may provide a high degree of flexibility, as different projections may be defined for, e.g., different spatial and/or temporal parts of the panoramic scene, different rendering techniques, etc.

  • Patent number: 11175165
Abstract: Methods and systems for measuring a fluid flow comprise a plurality of transceivers disposed at predetermined locations distributed along a perimeter around the fluid flow. The transceivers transmit and receive acoustic signals through the fluid flow there between. A plurality of different acoustic paths through the fluid flow are formed between different transceiver pairs. Different time intervals are measured between respective times of transmitting and receiving the acoustic signals; and along the plurality of different acoustic paths. A velocity map of the fluid flow is calculated by fitting the measured different time intervals to a model of the fluid flow. The model of the fluid flow defines a velocity map with different flow velocities in a cross-section plane transverse to the fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 11175445
Abstract: Illuminating sections of a light guide with LEDs leads to unwanted light bleeding to other parts of the light guide. Furthermore typically LEDs are placed at a large distance from the area that couples out light from this LED due to a spike in intensity close to the LED. In order to avoid this spike being visible in the lit area the distance is increased which results in unwanted areal increase of the overall system. The present provides a layout to overcome these challenges.

  • Patent number: 11149352
Abstract: Method of performing atomic layer deposition. The method comprises supplying a precursor gas towards a substrate, using a deposition head including one or more gas supplies, including a precursor gas supply. The precursor gas reacts near a surface of the substrate for forming an atomic layer. The deposition head has an output face comprising the gas supplies, which at least partly faces the substrate surface during depositing the atomic layer. The output face has a substantially rounded shape defining a movement path of the substrate. The precursor-gas supply is moved relative to the substrate by rotating the deposition head while supplying the precursor gas, for depositing a stack of atomic layers while continuously moving in one direction. The surface of the substrate is kept contactless with the output face by means of a gas bearing.

  • Publication number: 20210302230
Abstract: The optical device comprises a group of Fabry-Perot resonators, formed by a stack of a first and second partial reflection layer and an intermediate layer between the first and second partial reflection layer. The intermediate layer comprises a dielectric material and a group of arrays of posts embedded in the dielectric material at different positions along the intermediate layer. Each array in the group contains posts of a different non-circular shape and/or orientation in cross-section with a plane parallel to the reflection layers. As a result, Fabry-Perot resonators are formed in areas that contain different arrays, each having first and second resonance peaks at mutually different resonance frequencies for different polarization components. Light intensity sensors may be provided located below the different areas. From the intensities measured by the sensors, the intensities of different polarization components of the light can be computed over a range of wavelengths.

  • Patent number: 11132802
Abstract: Moving objects are detected from a temporal sequence of images captured from successive viewpoints. Image flow vectors are computed from the temporal sequence of images, for example of flow between difference images derived from the sequence. An average direction of the image flow vectors associated with displacement of image areas between a first image and a second image derived from temporal sequence of images is computed. Preferably, a method of averaging is used that is designed to suppress the effect of outliers. Regions are determined in the first image. For each of the identified regions along range of positions along the computed average direction from a position of the identified region, it is determined whether or not there is a match between first image content in the identified region in the first image and second image content in a patch located within said range of positions in the second image.
