A lock opening and closing lever is rotatable between locking and unlocking positions and a rod is drivably connected to the lock opening and closing lever and serves for connection to a latching device.A securing and release lever drivably connected with the rotor through a drive tang and a slot permitting lost motion is movable by an actuator independently of the rotor.
Abstract: A motor-vehicle steering-column lock has a bush carried on the steering spindle and formed with a plurality of angularly equispaced axial ribs of the same thickness and having sides that define recesses each angularly twice as wide as the rib thickness. At least three elongated locking bolts lying in respective planes and sliding longitudinally independently relative to one another and generally radially with respect to the axis have generally identical and mutually parallel ends of a width substantially equal to the rib thickness. Thus in one locking position the ends of two adjacent bolts are received by one of the recesses while the end of the third of the bolts rests on an adjacent one of the ribs and in another locking position the end of a central one of the bolts rests on one of the ribs while the ends of the other two of the bolts straddle the one rib and are received in respective recesses flanking same.

Abstract: A cylinder lock comprises a cylinder core movable axially by the key and with at least one lock part in particular a lock bolt, which can be actuated by the cylinder core and which is movable via a transmission part by an eccentric member, cam or cam plate actuable by the cylinder core into the non-locking position. The lock part (8, 9) is held in the non-locking position by a tiltable dished plate (20) adapted for movement towards the cylinder core (1) axially against the pressure of spring (22) and disposed coaxially of the cylinder axis, until withdrawal of the key causes the cylinder core (1) to be moved back into the starting position, the plate (20) being withdrawn from the position which locks the transmission part (14). One end (8) of a torsion spring (7) rests against the face of the closing flap (4) directed towards the key channel. Before assembly, the other end (12) of the torsion spring (7) projects above the outer surface of the cylinder (1) through a slit (13) in the head (2) of the cylinder (1), is bent round after assembly and interacts with a stop (14) connected to the cylinder (1). This design of the lock cylinder makes it easier to assemble it.
Abstract: A device for blocking the rotary movement of a steering column of a motor vehicle by means of a clamping lock acting in the two directions of rotation and having two sets of axis-parallel rollers which are guided in respective coaxial cages rotatable about the steering-column axis. The rollers of each set are clamped between a cylindrical running track and associated clamping surfaces inclined relative to the running track in a first position of the cage and run freely in a second position, one cage (9) with its rollers (7a) between the running track and the clamping surfaces serving for blocking the first direction of rotation, and a second cage (10) with its rollers (7b) serving for blocking the second direction of rotation. The two cages (9,10) are rotationally adjustable in opposite directions.
Abstract: An ignition lock for a motor vehicle has a cylinder provided with a recess into which the plunger of an electromagnet can project in the absence of energization of the electromagnet when the ignition switch is in the off position. A remote control circuit for operating the doors of the vehicle is independent of a second circuit for responding to the presence of an appropriate key in the cylinder while a control circuit is responsive to both of these previously mentioned circuits for energizing the electromagnet only when the appropriate signal is received from the remote control unit and when the proper key is inserted in the cylinder so that in the absence of the first-mentioned signal even the proper key will not cause retraction of the plunger to permit the ignition lock to be operated.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for locking the rotational movement of a steering column of a motor vehicle by means of a clamp locking mechanism with rollers (4) parallel to the axis, which rollers clamp the steering column in both rotational directions between a cylindrical track and clamping surfaces oblique to the track and are guided in a coaxial cage rotatable about the steering column. The cage can be carried along by the steering column in both rotational directions in each case into one of the two clamping positions and can be fixed in a central position located between the two clamping positions, in which central position the rollers release the steering column. All the rollers (4) are surrounded externally by at least one elastic ring (6) coaxial to the column (1), which ring elastically loads the rollers towards the steering column.

The driving part (1) exhibits at least two axial elastic dogs (3, 4) which end in radial teeth (5, 6) and cooperate with circular arcuate slots (8, 9) in the driven part (2), which exhibit enlarged regions (11, 13) for the passage of the radial teeth (5, 6), and with a securing part (14). This securing part (14) is provided with holes (15, 16) to receive the elastic dogs (3, 4), and a bendable strap (17, 18), which is present at each hole (15, 16), after being bent behind the dogs (3, 4), comes into abutment opposite the teeth (5, 6) at their ends. Any accidental disassembly is prevented by this means.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrically actuated lock of the type comprising a rotor pivoting in a body and capable of being locked in relation to the said body by locking members constituted by pairs of opposed pistons or by keepers. The locking members are displaced by notches of a key, coded to permit the rotation of the rotor by action upon the key head. In this invention the unlocking of the rotor is effected by electric means without any opening of the rotor to the external environment, thus ensuring perfect sealing and inviolability. The device comprises a casing containing a locking bolt operated by a security lock and a base to which the casing is secured by means of screws with breakaway heads. The base has a half bore corresponding to the steering column to be equipped with the device and is secured by a flexible member whose first end is selectively fixed by a pin at one of several discrete locations and whose other end is secured to the base in an adjustable manner.
