Abstract: A femoral knee saw guide for use in surgery includes a cutting guide having a slot extending therethrough for guiding a saw and alignment structure attached to the guide and positioned externally of the patient's femur for effecting proper alignment of the cutting guide. The cutting guide may be used for cutting one or both condyles at the distal end of the femur in a medial to lateral direction or lateral to medial direction. An arm having a stylus extending into the plane defined by the path of travel of the saw may be used when it is desired to cut only a single condyle to prevent inadvertently cutting the opposing condyle.

Abstract: A bone drill extending along an axis has (1) a stabilizing point with first and second cutting edges which extend to a tip, conical wall sections and flutes on opposite sides of each of the first and second cutting edges and (2) first and second lands extending radially outwardly from the conical wall sections, each land having a radially outwardly extending cutting edge.

Abstract: An engraving tool includes an end portion extending to a tip, a pair of flutes in the end portion and wall sections between the flutes. The wall sections are ground in the area of the tip to form surfaces having cutting edges and facets disposed at specific angles relative to a plane perpendicular to axis.
