    Abstract: An abradable turbine seal having a novel honeycomb cellular structure fabricated from metal foils or sheets showing good manufacturability, optimized brazeability and especially good structural integrity and oxidation resistance after brazing to metal support structures. MCrAlY (M=Ni, Fe, Co or combinations thereof) foil and sheet metals are particularly suitable to produce such a structure.
