Abstract: There is a problem in conventional technologies in that updating multimedia content can be initiated only by a mobile communication terminal side. A mobile communication terminal according to the present invention updates at least one of elements of content stored in a permanent storage area of a memory unit using update information included in an update message received through a wireless communication unit, and plays the updated content. The content can be updated from text information included in the update information, files stored in the mobile communication terminal, or network resources. Accordingly, content providers can update the content stored in the mobile communication terminal by transferring the update information of the content to be updated, for example, using an update message which is a push-type communication means such as a text message.

Abstract: Provided is a mash-up service system including: a data processing module installed in a communication terminal which makes wired/wireless Internet communications, and transmitting multimedia data created by a user of the communication terminal and basic information provided by the communication terminal; and a mash-up server receiving the multimedia data and the basic information from the data processing module, tagging the multimedia data with the basic information to create first mash-up content, and transmitting the first mash-up content to a mash-up service apparatus.

Abstract: Users desire to add their own produced images to multimedia content, or to update the multimedia content. However, there is a problem in that conventional multimedia content cannot be changed. A mobile communication terminal according to the present invention monitors an occurrence of an event, changes at least one of elements of a played content file to a new element when the event occurs, and plays the content file including the changed element by means of a playback unit. The new element to be changed may be an element received from a storage medium connected on a network, a new file stored in a memory unit, or an image taken by a camera module.

Abstract: A user interface technique of a mobile communication terminal is disclosed. The mobile communication terminal includes a memory unit storing menu content that includes object files constituting multimedia of nodes in a tree-structured menu and playback control commands combining the object files to generate a playback frame and defining a next operation responding to an event inputted by a user; and a menu playback unit playing the menu content stored in the memory unit in response to the event inputted by the user by outputting nodes constituting the menu by repeatedly performing a process of combining the object files and generating and outputting the playback frame according to the playback control commands in response to the event, and calling a function corresponding to the event and providing a corresponding menu function when a lowermost menu node is played.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for playing interactive contents for standby mode in a mobile communication terminal, which allows a user of the mobile communication terminal to perform a variety of operations on a standby mode by operating a player to play interactive contents provided by mobile communication terminal makers or communication service providers on the standby mode in a user-specified standby screen and allows a direct Internet browsing to a specific URL based on a user's operation, and a mobile communication terminal using the same. According to the method for playing interactive contents for standby mode in the mobile communication terminal and the mobile communication terminal using the same, the interactive contents can be played in the standby mode and so other pictures can be viewed in the standby mode according to a key operation by a user.

Abstract: A home multimedia storage system includes an analog storing part for storing analog signal from a displayer in a video tape and playing the stored analog signal, and an analog/digital converting part for converting an analog signal from the displayer into a digital signal. A digital storing part is provided to store the digital signal converted by the analog/digital converting part and playing the stored digital signal. A digital/analog converting part also provided to convert the digital data output from the digital storing part into an analog play signal. A controller selects and transmits one of the analog signal stored in the analog storing part and the digital signal stored in the digital storing part to the displayer during a sound/image playback operation.
