Abstract: A seismic wave generating device and methods for generating seismic waves having a relatively strong longitudinal energy and a relatively weak transverse energy are disclosed. A device may have a hollow casing and a striking member passing through the hollow casing, the striking member or the hollow casing bearing a spacing member. A method may drive the hollow casing into the earth, then remove earth from within the hollow casing. The method may place a striking member through the hollow casing and may drive the striking member further into the earth to create seismic waves with a relatively strong longitudinal energy and a relatively weak transverse energy.

Abstract: A transfer machine tipper mechanism for overturning a container being moved from a first station to a second station. The transfer machine tipper mechanism has a plurality of actuators to engage and rotate the container. The actuators are sequenced to rotate the container from an initial orientation to a final orientation wherein the final orientation is defined by the top and bottom of the container being inverted from the initial orientation.

Abstract: Self clearing transfer arms for pushing a container in an assembly process to a stage assembly wherein the pushing arms are retractable to a position out of obstruction relationship to the stage assembly. The pushing arms each have a transfer arm, a gate and a hinge. The hinge rotatably attaches the transfer arm to the gate in an orientation providing for rotation of the gate out of an obstruction relation to the stage assembly if unintended contact with the stage assembly or the container occurs.
