  • Publication number: 20060121416
Abstract: A dental impression coping which includes a set of components including an attachment screw access means through the impression material and not more than one attachment screw, that may be used for both pick-up type (open tray) or transfer tray (closed tray) impression moulding techniques. The impression components include an impression coping having non-rotational features and height specific retention means having an outer surface with its bottom end configured to reside preferably below the gingiva surrounding the implant. Means exist on the impression coping, to attach the impression coping to the implant for use in a transfer type impression application. By providing a means to access the attachment screw through the impression material a second impression application, the pick-up type impression application, can be performed, using the same screw that can be used also for the first impression application the transfer type impression application.
