Patent number: 11332317Abstract: A wear strip for a conveyor having a frame with frame spacers is provided. There are two frame spacers at one end of the frame, each having at least one lock. The lock has a riser and a head, wherein the head is wider than the riser forming a generally but not limited to T-shaped profile. A wear strip having a hole with an upper cavity and a lower passage having a wide gap and narrow gap is provided. The wear strip can be secured by the lock. This is accomplished by mounting the wear strip on the frame spacers so that the head of the lock projects into the upper cavity of the wear strip. Then, the wear strip is longitudinally moved so that the riser enters the narrow gap in the wear strip. Longitudinal wear strips can be inserted that longitudinally lock the wear strips in place.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2020Date of Patent: May 17, 2022Assignee: Nercon Eng. & Mfg., Inc.Inventors: Andrew Francis Rottier, Jeffrey Kent Falash, Michael Paul Weickert

Patent number: 11267655Abstract: A dynamic noser assembly used with a conveyor having pegs is provided. The dynamic noser assembly has a noser with a noser inner side, a noser outer side, a first lateral side, a second lateral side, a rear side and a front side. The dynamic noser further has a first hole with a first hole slot accessible via the noser inner side and a first hole notch, and a second hole with a second hole slot accessible via the rear side and a second hole notch. The noser is alignable with the pegs to lock the noser in place when the pegs are received within notches. The dynamic noser assembly further as a shaft removably connected to the noser, the shaft supporting at least one bearing. The noser front side has a channel formed therein for removably receiving the bearing shaft.Type: GrantFiled: December 7, 2020Date of Patent: March 8, 2022Assignee: NERCON ENG. & MFG., INC.Inventors: Andrew Francis Rottier, Jeffrey Kent Falash, Michael Paul Weickert, Erik Kristian Schiebel

Patent number: 9828186Abstract: A guide rail system for guiding containers moved by a conveyor defining a path with a straight or curved segment. The guide rail system is adjustable such that by engaging a single mechanism, the distance between a pair of rails (one rail on each side of the conveyor) is changed across multiple conveyor segments (straight and/or curved). The invention provides an adjustable guide rail system for use in connection with a conveying surface capable of moving with respect to the guide rail system.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2015Date of Patent: November 28, 2017Assignee: Nercon Eng. & Mfg., Inc.Inventors: Michael Weickert, Daniel Bickel, Jeffrey Falash, Andrew Rottier

Publication number: 20170166402Abstract: A transfer conveyor for transferring conveyed items between two main conveyors, each having a flexible conveying surface reeved about an end sprocket that is large with respect to the conveyed items. The transfer conveyor includes a deck having two ends, each having a nose bar. At least one tensioning idler wheel is slidably mounted to the transfer conveyor frame, and a drive wheel is rotatably mounted to the frame. A transfer conveyor belt is routed about the drive wheel, over the tensioning idler wheel, over the deck, and back to the drive wheel. A dead plate is positioned between one of the nose bars and one of the main conveyors, at a level even with the top of the belt. The deck is expandable, formed of two interlaced finger plates, each having a respective nose bar at one end and finger(s) extending away from the nose bar.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 25, 2015Publication date: June 15, 2017Applicant: NERCON ENG. & MFG., INC.Inventors: Michael Weickert, Daniel Mentzel, Andrew Rottier

Patent number: 9522785Abstract: A mounting clip connected to a conveyor frame for supporting the wear strip with respect to the frame. The mounting clip includes a grip plate having a base portion, and a pierce portion joined to the base portion at a bend, the pierce portion having a tooth protruding from the pierce portion at an edge of the pierce portion opposite the bend. The mounting clip further includes a second plate having a second plate base portion and a riser portion. A stud is connected to the second plate base portion and passes through the base portion of the grip plate and through a portion of the conveyor frame. A nut is threaded onto the stud, thereby capturing the portion of the conveyor frame. The wear strip is captured between the pierce portion and the riser portion upon installation and the tooth penetrates the wear strip upon installation.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 2015Date of Patent: December 20, 2016Assignee: Nercon Eng. & Mfg., Inc.Inventors: Andrew Rottier, Jeff Falash
