Abstract: Low-pressure drip irrigation system, comprising a distribution pipe made of thin-walled sleeve collapsible when empty and designed to operate under hydraulic head up to 3 m H2O, having a plurality of holes in the walls thereof, a plurality of branch tubes equipped with low-pressure drip emitters; and a plurality of connectors connecting the branch tubes to the holes of the distribution pipe. The sleeve material is opaque and reflecting the solar radiation so that the natural growth of microorganisms and algae in the irrigation water is suppressed, and the pipe is not heated more than 35° C. above the ambient air temperature. The irrigation system is assembled in the field from components of a kit by deploying the distribution pipe, filling it with water, cutting the holes by means of a special band-held tool, inserting the connectors into the holes, and assembling the branch tubes with the connectors.

Abstract: A rotary sprinkler comprises a body and a rotor. The body has an inlet bore, an outlet bore, and an internal cavity therebetween. The inlet bore has an upstream end connectable to a water supply pipe and a downstream end formed as a jet nozzle. The outlet bore has an upstream end with a rim. The rotor has an axially extending shaft with an axial shaft channel and at least one vane with a vane channel extending away from the shaft and having an outlet constituting an outlet of the sprinkler. The shaft channel and the vane channel define a smooth water flow passage having an open cross-section. The shaft is inserted in the outlet bore of the body to enable free rotation of the rotor. The sprinkler further comprises a retaining ring that is assembled to the upstream end of the shaft of the rotor, is disposed in the internal cavity of the sprinkler body, and is adapted to abut the rim of the outlet bore, thereby carrying axial forces applied to the rotor.

Abstract: A method for spraying a liquid on plants by means of a spraying assembly adapted for mounting on a pair of upper and lower wires parallel to each other. The spraying assembly comprises a sprayer having at least one nozzle adapted for fluid communication with a source of the liquid, and a sprayer holder. The sprayer holder comprises a rigid rod and upper and lower holder members mounted on the rod and having clamping means for being clamped to the respective upper and lower wires. One of the holder members has a sprayer seat for fixedly supporting the sprayer in a predetermined orientation relative to the rod.

Abstract: An irrigation system comprises an irrigation hose made of synthetic resin and having at least two integrally formed elongated irrigation lines, and irrigation emitters. Each line comprises a separate fluid passage adapted for individual communication with a water supply source, and a succession of spaced apart irrigation openings formed therein. Each opening is associated with an irrigation emitter having an irrigation outlet, the irrigation outlets of the emitters of the lines being staggered with respect to each other.

Abstract: A hydraulic diaphragm valve comprising a housing, an inlet, an outlet, a diaphragm valve seating between the inlet and the outlet, a sealing diaphragm mounted in the housing and displaceable about the diaphragm valve seating, so as to close and open a flow path between the inlet and outlet, a valve control chamber and a command valve comprising a first duct communicating a one end thereof with the valve inlet, and at an opposite end thereof with a first command valve seating, a second duct communicating into one end with the valve outlet, and at an opposite end thereof, with a second command valve seating. A third duct communicates at one end with the valve control chamber and at its opposite end it selectively communicates with the first and second command valve seatings.
