  • Patent number: 6390407
Abstract: The winding machine for a continuously running yarn includes a machine housing (1), a supporting arm (12) projecting from an upper part of the machine housing; two bobbin spindles (6,7) for respective bobbins sleeves (8,9); traversing units for the bobbin spindles in the supporting arm (12); a contacting roller (13); drive motors for the bobbins spindles, the contacting roller (13) and the traversing units (14) and an electronic device including an inverter for supplying the drive motors with electrical energy. The electronic device, the supporting arm, the contacting roller and the bobbins spindles are all on the same side of the machine housing. In order to provide improved cooling the flat control housing (19) for the electronic unit is separately mounted below the supporting arm (12) near the feet (2,3) of the winding machine and has the cooling ribs (20) facing the bobbins so that an air flow is produced over the cooling ribs during operation because of motion of the bobbins.

  • Patent number: 6286778
Abstract: The spooling machine for continuously running fibers has a housing (1) with a support arm (2) extending from its upper portion; spindles (7,8) for fixing a number of bobbins (11) for the continuously running fibers; a rotatable spindle revolver (4) on which said spindles are rotatably mounted; a changing device (14) including changing units (15,16,17) corresponding in number to the fibers; respective variable speed motors (9,18) for rotatably driving the spindles (7,8) and the changing device (14) and a control unit (20) mounted on a free end of the support arm (2). In order to avoid electrical interference between the frequency converters and other electronic equipment each of the variable speed motors for the spindles and the changing device have an integrated frequency converter (9a,18a). The control unit (20) controls momentary frequencies of the frequency converters and also spooling machine operations.

  • Patent number: 6161789
Abstract: In reversible head winders two bobbin holders (3a, 3b) are alternately used. Each bobbin holder is coupled to a frequency-controllable drive (9a, 9b) associated to a frequency converter (14a, 14b). A sensing roller (6) which in operation is in contact with the surface of the bobbin (5) being formed is also equipped with a drive (10). According to the invention, each frequency converter (14a, 14b) can be switched from the drive (9a, 9b) of the associated bobbin holder (3a, 3b) to the drive (10) of the sensing roller (6). The drive of the sensing roller (6) is electrically connected to the frequency converter (14b) of the bobbin holder (3b) which is momentarily in the ready position. In this manner one can spare a frequency converter for the drive (10) of the sensing roller (6).
