Abstract: A gas tap for a gas cooker or hob includes a rotary disc valve (20) which controls the flow of gas from a gas rail (1) to a gas burner of the cooker or hob. To simplify the tap construction and facilitate manufacture, an external surface (2) of the gas rail (1) is used to form part of the tap housing and to provide the seating surface for the disc valve (20).
