Abstract: A method and system for identifying and discouraging predatory and uncompetitive sales practices includes identifying at least one base cost for at least one product, determining at least one current cost for the at least one product from at least one retailer displaying or selling products and services through online or mobile channels, and determining if the at least one product sold by the at least one retailer displaying or selling products and services through online or mobile channels is a loss-leader based at least partially on the at least one base cost and the at least one current cost. At least one of the at least one product may be automatically purchased from the at least one retailer displaying or selling products and services through online or mobile channels if the at least one product sold by the at least one retailer is determined to be a loss-leader. A system for implementing the aforementioned method includes appropriately communicatively connected hardware components.
Abstract: A system and method for active remediation and/or passive protection against cyber attacks includes an active remediation and passive protection server computer for monitoring at least a portion of network data between at least one first network and at least one second network to detect one or more attacks and/or unauthorized access to at least one first agent in the at least one first network by at least one second agent in the at least one second network. The active remediation and passive protection server computer executes at least one of (i) one or more active remediation mechanisms to actively respond to the one or more detected attacks and/or unauthorized access and (ii) one or more passive protection mechanisms to passively protect against the one or more detected attacks and/or unauthorized access.
Abstract: A system and method for providing customer service to a website user online, includes downloading a user-state-monitoring object and a user profile from a website to a client site when a website user loads up any web page through the website, wherein the user-state-monitoring object is configured to monitor and analyze the website user's behavioral patterns in real time by comparing the user's actions to a set of pre-defined business rules, and utilizing the user-state-monitoring object to notify an available customer service representative and enable communication between the customer service representative and the website user.
