The laundry detergent readily solubilizes off of the substrate sheet during the washing process to provide a total laundering process that cleans and softens. Also disclosed are several laundry detergent formulations which are preferably applied onto the substrate to make the laundry sheet of the present invention and a process for making the laundry sheet.
