Abstract: A system reads a digital image that includes a set of pixels. The system determines a distribution of colors of the pixels of the digital image. Also, the system analyzes the distribution to identify a range of colors of a background of the digital image. Further, the system identifies pixels whose colors are within the identified range, and the system modifies the identified pixels to have a different color.
Abstract: A method performed by a computer system. The method including storing a version of a mass-produced printed paper, and forming a reference within the version. The reference is associated with an operation and at least a portion of the version. The version is displayable on a display device as a likeness of the paper, and the portion is selectable to cause performance of the operation.
Abstract: A method performed by a computer system. The method includes storing a first version of a mass-produced printed paper, the first version having a first format. The method also includes translating the first version into a second version, the second version having a second format. The second version is displayable on a display device as a likeness of the paper.
Abstract: In one embodiment, on a first date, a computer system receives a watch list term that is specified by a user. The computer system receives an electronic version of a paper on a second date after the first date, and the computer system searches the electronic version for the watch list term, without the user specifying the watch list term after the first date, and without the user initiating the searching after the first date. The computer system outputs a result of the searching for display on a display device.

Abstract: A computing device stores a version of a mass-produced printed paper. The version is displayable on a display device as a likeness of the paper. Within a part of the version, the part being displayed on the display device at a particular moment, the computing device identifies a portion of the displayed part that is selectable by a user for copying, the portion being less than all of the displayed part, while preventing a different portion of the displayed part from being selectable by the user for copying.
Abstract: A method performed by a computer system. The method includes storing a first version of a mass-produced printed paper, the first version having a first digital format. The method also includes replacing first content in the first version with second content, and translating the first version into a second version, the second version having a second digital format. The second version is displayable on a display device as a likeness of the paper.
