Abstract: A computer-implemented method and device for secure checkout in a retail environment such as at a point of sale location in a store. Each of a customer and a sales associate at the point of sale operate respective mobile communication devices that are equipped to exchange signals and receive the same from one another. The sales associate device sends, inter alia, a physical signal causing the customer device to link to a payment application and server, which is followed by a sequence of authentication steps enabled by a physical authentication unit on the customer's device to ensure and confirm authenticated secure transactions.

Abstract: A method and system for assisting customers in determining a best retail store location, reaching the location and obtaining assistance from a retail store associate at the location is disclosed. The method employs mobile communication device hardware, software and communication network infrastructure as well as near-field transmitters and receivers to achieve beacon orientation and location functionality.

Abstract: Aspects of the invention provide a system and method for effecting a transfer of goods in a transaction. Mobile communication devices held by parties to a transaction deliver geographic location information to a server, which coordinates data, including verification token data broadcast by one of said devices, so as to authenticate the identities of the parties to the transfer once the parties or devices are within a specified short-range to conduct said transfer.

Abstract: A method and a system for facilitating online shopping and customers' interaction with retail associates, in a cloud-computing infrastructure is provided. A Routing and Fulfillment Server (RFS) is coupled to multiple customers' and retail associates' electronic communication devices over a cloud-based network. The customers and retail associates exchange request and response message data with the server, during the process of communication. A customer initiates a transaction request message, intending to buy a product, specifying the product's attributes and a preferred delivery option for the product. In an aspect, the RFS utilizes the transaction request message, a set of routing rules, and stored data, to select a specific retail store or distribution center to source the product from; and further selects an available retail associate located therein to serve the transaction.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to mobile device retail self-checkout with incorporated theft detection system and methods thereof. Aspects of the invention employ asset tracking, mobile phone scanning and self-checkout in a retail environment. Specifically, a mobile device application in communication with a transaction system has to capacity to complete unassisted self-checkouts. Other aspects include providing a transaction system using a mobile device application interfacing therewith. Additionally, the present invention has the capacity to interface with existing anti-theft technologies, such as, RFID or similar RF tagging and reading which can determine thefts and process exceptions of unique items.
