    Abstract: A LED lamp assembly includes a substrate, a plurality of LEDs and a circuit. The circuit can provide soft start pulses for driving the plurality of LEDs. The soft start pulses allow for greater drive energies to be used for emitting high power light. The plurality of LEDs can be disposed on the substrate, which can include a thermally conductive material that can facilitate heat transfer from the plurality of LEDs. The substrate can include a bore that can facilitate heat transfer when exposed to air, liquid, ice, or combinations thereof.
