The display device includes: a plurality of pixel electrodes disposed on one substrate; a common electrode disposed to face the pixel electrode on the other substrate facing the one substrate; a liquid crystal layer disposed between the one substrate and the other substrate; and a blocking electrode disposed on the one substrate, being insulated from the pixel electrode, wherein a blocking voltage is applied to the blocking electrode to allow the liquid crystal layer to be optically in an off-state.
Abstract: Provided are a frame buffer pixel circuit, a method of operating the same, and a display device having the same. The frame buffer pixel circuit includes a first switching unit configured to transfer image data in response to a first actuating signal, a first charging unit configured to charge the image data, a second switching unit configured to supply a reference voltage in response to a second actuating signal, a third switching unit configured to adjust and transfer the reference voltage according to a charge amount, and a second charging unit configured to charge or discharge according to the reference voltage, wherein the reference voltage is supplied as a discharge voltage discharging the second charging unit and a charge voltage charging the second charging unit.
