  • Patent number: 10169774
Abstract: A network based indoor positioning and geofencing system and method is described. Beacons are disposed within a physical premises and each beacon transmits a signal containing identifying information. A networked indoor positioning module receives measured reference points that include a measured beacon identifier and a measured signal strength. The networked indoor positioning module uses the measured reference points to generate calculated signal strength values for at least one detected beacon. At least one geofence is associated with the physical premises and the geofence includes some of the calculated signal strength values. A wireless device receives a beacon identifier and a beacon signal strength, when the wireless device is in or near a geofence associated the physical premises.

  • Patent number: 9454769
Abstract: A method for tracking patronage of a customer in at least one casino property is described. The method comprises monitoring a wireless handset that determines the location of the customer. The method then proceeds to generate a user profile that comprises user preferences and monitored betting activity associated with the customer and accumulated points stored in a customer account according to a monetary value of the monitored betting activity. Complementary goods or services are determined based on the accumulated points associated with the customer account. A message is sent to the wireless handset associated with the complementary goods or services that is consistent with the user preferences.

  • Patent number: 9406079
Abstract: A system for adjusting a relevance weight value for a content item is described. The system comprises a content delivery module configured to deliver a plurality of content items to a device via a network. The content items are displayed on the device. A content storage module is configured to store a relevance weight value and a location in association with each content item. A location detection module is configured to determine a location of the wireless device. A user provides a feedback input for a content item. The relevance weight value associated with the location and the content item is adjusted according to the feedback input provided.

  • Patent number: 9408032
Abstract: A content delivery system, device and method is described. The content delivery system includes a database and a content presentation module. The database includes a user profile, user attributes, content items, and indoor geofences. The content presentation module presents a first list of targeted content items associated with a first user profile on a first wireless device. The first list of targeted content items corresponds to a first user attribute and a particular indoor geofence. The content presentation module also presents a second list of targeted content items associated with a second user profile on a second wireless device. The first list of targeted content items presented on the first wireless device is different from the second list of targeted content items presented on the second wireless device at the particular indoor geofence, when the first user attribute is different from the second user attribute.

  • Patent number: 9396471
Abstract: A system and method for generating a mobile autonomous dynamic graphical user interface is described. An illustrative system comprises a location-capable component, a user preference module, a server, a means for generating a display menu, and a wireless formatting engine. The location-capable component determines a location for a wireless device. The user preference module includes a variety of user preferences. The server selects targeted content based on the user preferences and the location of the wireless device. The selected content includes at least one user selectable menu button. A display menu is generated that includes the user selectable button. The wireless formatting engine formats the display menu and selected content for the wireless device.

  • Publication number: 20160054865
Abstract: A system and method for map based exploration is described. The system includes a dynamic graphical user interface (GUI) that includes a list of targeted content elements for each different group profile, in which a first dynamic GUI corresponding to a first group profile that is served to a first user is different from a second dynamic GUI corresponding to a second group profile is served to a second user at approximately the same location, when the group profiles are different. A map is displayed on the touch screen display and the map displays a plurality of geofences. A geofence selection received by the touch screen display presents the dynamic graphical user interface that includes the list of targeted content elements for the particular group profile associated with the particular wireless device at the geofence selection.
