Abstract: A barbecue grill that includes a table defining a chamber to receive combustible fuel and a grill basket having a grill platform arranged facing the chamber and adapted to be moved vertically between a lowest position and a highest position and multiple positions therebetween. The grill includes an electric motor operatively connected to the grill platform to move the grill basket between its lowest and highest positions, and a plurality of temperature sensors adapted to monitor a temperature of the grill platform. A controller is arranged in communication with the plurality of temperature sensors and the electric motor and is configured to raise and lower the grill basket to maintain the grill platform at a desired temperature.
