Patents Assigned to Nexter Munitions
  • Patent number: 7661363
Abstract: An impact fuse includes a body containing a piezoelectric generator positioned on a bracket integral with the body. The piezoelectric generator serving as an anvil. The fuse includes a piston intended to mechanically contact the generator upon impact. The piston receives the impact forces transmitted by a cap. The fuse being characterized in that the piston is slidably fitted within the body and in that it includes plastically deformable means that are interposed between the cap and the body. The means are deformed by cap movement upon impact with a target via piston movement. The plastically deformable means is configured to be deformed in a manner that causes the piston to more gradually exert force on the piezoelectric generator.

  • Publication number: 20100024675
Abstract: A deconfinement device for the casing of a piece of ammunition enclosing an explosive load able to be ignited by a priming fuse, said device comprising a connecting ring linked to the casing and enabling the priming fuse to be joined to said casing, wherein said device incorporates a structure to ensure a weakened and shearable link between said fuse and said connecting ring, said link being sheared further to an increase in the pressure inside said casing, said connecting ring incorporating a base forming a plate that can be projected onto said explosive load during the ignition of said fuse, said base being able to be fractured by the presence of pressure inside said body of said projectile.

  • Patent number: 7644662
Abstract: An elastic retention ring for the combustible casing of a piece of ammunition with respect to a base, the ring including two concentric substantially ring-shaped portions, one internal the other one external. The portions are linked by radial arms, and are continuous or not and have different diameters. The external portion incorporates at least one plane part and the radial arms form an angle with respect to the plane of plane part.

  • Publication number: 20090205526
Abstract: A micro-machined or micro-engraved safety and arming device for a pyrotechnic train of a projectile to which axial spin is imparted after firing, such device comprising a substrate onto which a shutter to break the pyrotechnic train is positioned, such shutter being mobile in translation on the substrate, device in which the train-breaking shutter is held immobile by at least two locks, a first lock, or axial acceleration lock, which is released further to the application of the acceleration communicated to the projectile during firing, and a second lock, device wherein the second lock is a centrifugal lock that is released further to the projectile being made to spin.

  • Publication number: 20090114762
Abstract: The invention relates to a remote control device from an attack module flying over a target, module of the projectile or sub-projectile, missile or attack drone type, for a target designator positioned on a terrain of operations, comprising means to emit a remote control signal that are arranged in the attack module and at least one receiver means for the remote control signal that are integral with the designator and are associated with means to activate the start-up of the designator, wherein the emitter means incorporate at least one light source oriented so as to illuminate the terrain and in that the receiver means incorporate a detector for the radiation emitted by the light source or sources.

  • Publication number: 20090001215
Abstract: The invention relates to a process to control the initiation of an attack module (2), such as a projectile or sub-projectile, such attack module having at least one pre-determined direction of action (WH), such process wherein it has the following steps: before firing or on trajectory, the coordinates of at least one target (3) are programmed into a fixed terrestrial reference (4), the orientation of the direction(s) of action (WH) in the fixed terrestrial reference (4) is determined at least once on trajectory and the initiation of the attack module (2) is only authorized if the direction of action (WH) is oriented in the direction of the target (3). The invention also relates to the device implementing such a process.

  • Publication number: 20080011178
Abstract: The invention relates to an impact fuse comprising a body containing a piezoelectric generator put in place on a bracket integral with the body and forming an anvil, said fuse comprising a piston intended to come to exert a mechanical stress on the generator, said piston receiving the impact strain transmitted by a cap, said fuse being wherein the piston is slidably fitted relatively to the body and in that it comprises plastically deformable means that are interposed between the cap and the body, said means being deformed by the cap movement on impact on a target, said movement causing a piston movement, the energy consumed by the means deformation thus allowing to ensure a longer and more gradual crushing of the piezoelectric generator on impact on a target.
