Abstract: An extender accessory for a hand truck having a frame with two vertical frame portions, a plurality of cross bars connected between the frame portions, a pair of axle mounted wheels at lower ends of the frame portions and a platform extending forwardly from the lower ends of the frame portions. The extender accessory comprises an L-shaped support member being of a length longer than the width of the platform. A mechanism is for removably attaching the L-shaped support member against the lower ends of the frame portions and sit upon the platform. The L-shaped support member will overhang opposite sides of the platform, to allow the L-shaped support member to carry and stabilize a variety of loads placed thereon.
