Abstract: A new and distinct Buglossoides arvensis plant named ‘Shannon’ characterized by narrow plant growth and abundant side shoot development. Seeds are distinctively well retained on the plant. Plants flower March to June and require vernalization to induce flowering. Seed germination rate is typically 80%. Seeds of the plant are used in the production of the oil commercially known Ahiflower oil.
