Abstract: The present application discloses a snorkel system and a flotation device for snorkeling. In certain embodiments, the snorkel system and flotation device comprise a buoyant flotation member for supporting a person in a body of water. The flotation member comprises a top, a bottom, and at least one opening extending through the flotation member from the top to the bottom. The opening is sized and configured to permit submersion of at least a portion of the face of a person positioned on the top of the flotation member in the water below the bottom of the flotation member.

Abstract: A system for insertion in a water line to a toilet bowl or urinal includes a housing having a water flow sensor held therein and a toilet or urinal overflow detector held in or formed integrally with the toilet bowl or urinal. The housing includes a normally-open valve actuated by the water flow detector or overflow detector to control flow of water through water line. The system may also include a water cleaner cartridge system.

Abstract: A snap fastener for securing shoe laces comprises two openings disposed diametrically to each other through which the shoe laces are passed. The openings extend longitudinally through the snap fastener when the latter is opened. An inner sleeve is in a larger outer sleeve such that it is longitudinally movable relative thereto. The inner sleeve accommodates an inner ring. When the pressure is exerted on the outer sleeve, the ring is made to rotate as the longitudinal movement is converted into a horizontal circular movement so that the shoe laces are immovably clamped by the snap fastener.

Abstract: An improved performance marine surface vessel with at least one recess that intersects the hull substantially beneath the static waterline thereof, the recess bounded by stabilizing, load-carrying, catamaran-like side hulls, flexible seal member at its forward portion, with downwardly extending generally bow shaped members located at its aft portion and optionally therebetween, with the recess being supplied with pressurized gas to maintain a lift-augmenting, restrained pressurized gas layer under the hull that improves load carrying capability, efficiency and ride quality. The flexible or soft seal member at the front of the vessel absorbs much of the initial wave impact thereby contributing substantially to the exceptional ride quality which, along with efficiency and speed, is a major object of the invention.
