Abstract: An article of footwear flat pattern with an integrated collar liner is provided. The flat pattern has a flat upper with a top surface forming an exterior of a dimensionally formed article of footwear and a bottom surface facing an internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article of footwear. The flat pattern also includes a collar liner that is coupled with the flat upper at an ankle opening. The collar liner has an interior surface and an opposite exterior surface. The exterior surface forms an exposed surface of the internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article and the interior surface faces the flat upper bottom surface within the internal cavity of the dimensionally formed article. However, the collar liner external surface faces the flat upper top surface at an ankle opening coupling location.
Abstract: A fluid-filled chamber may have a barrier, a stacked tensile member, and a fluid. The barrier may be formed from a polymer material that is sealed to define an interior void. The stacked tensile member may be located within the interior void and includes a first tensile element and a second tensile element that are joined to each other. Additionally, opposite sides of the stacked tensile member are joined to the barrier. The fluid is located within the interior void and may be pressurized to place an outward force upon the barrier and induce tension in the stacked tensile member. In some configurations, each of the tensile elements may be a spacer textile.
Abstract: Compression molded foam articles are provided having a closed cell foam structure comprising a plurality of cells having an anisotropic cell shape. The disclosed compression molded foam articles can be used as components or parts of a variety of articles, including articles of footwear and athletic equipment. Methods are disclosed for making the disclosed compression molded foam articles from a foamed preform having an elastomeric closed cell foam with substantially isotropic cell shape. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present disclosure.

Abstract: An article of footwear with a base plate having a structure and studs is disclosed. The structure may moderate stud pressure and enhance support during the first step of sprinting, quick directional changes, and backward movement. The structure may include a medial forefoot pad, a lateral forefoot pad connected to the medial forefoot pad, a medial heel pad, a first lateral heel pad connected to the medial heel pad, a first diagonal rib extending from the medial forefoot pad to the first lateral heel pad, a second diagonal rib extending from the lateral forefoot pad to the medial heel pad, a medial midfoot bar substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and disposed proximate the medial edge, and a lateral midfoot bar substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis and disposed proximate the lateral edge.
Abstract: A knit garment is provided to be worn on the foot that has a toe, foot, and heel area. The garment also has a medial triangular ankle panel and a lateral triangular ankle panel. The medial triangular ankle panel has a first medial vertex near the rear, top portion of the foot area, a second medial vertex near the top of the heel area, and a third medial vertex below and between the first and second medial vertices. The lateral triangular ankle panel has a first lateral vertex near the rear, top portion of the foot area, a second lateral vertex near the top of the heel area, and a third lateral vertex below and between the first and second lateral vertices. The sides of the medial and lateral triangular panels extending between the respective first and second medial and lateral vertices define an opening of the garment for a foot.
Abstract: A vibration motor assembly includes a vibration motor, an end cap having electrical contacts configured for supplying electrical power to the vibration motor, the end cap having a first connecting structure connecting the end cap to the vibration motor, and a capsule connected to the end cap to define a cavity. The vibration motor further has a shaft, and an eccentric mass is connected to the shaft. The vibration motor is configured to use electrical power to rotate the shaft and the eccentric mass to create a vibration effect. The end cap further has a second connecting structure connecting the capsule to the end cap. The vibration motor and eccentric mass are enclosed by the so-connected end cap and capsule, so as to enable the vibration motor assembly to withstand fabrication conditions.
Abstract: Several sole components and a method of manufacturing those sole components are disclosed. In general, each sole component includes a fluid-filled bladder and a reinforcing element extending around a portion of the bladder. The reinforcing element is bonded to the exterior of the bladder, and may be recessed into the bladder. In some configurations, the reinforcing element is die-cut from a sheet of polymer material, and the reinforcing element may exhibit a layered configuration. In manufacturing the sole component, the reinforcing element may be located within a mold, and the polymer material forming the bladder may be bonded to the reinforcing element during the molding process.
Abstract: An article of footwear includes a sole structure, an upper, a slotted eyelet, an opening, and a tensile strand. The upper is coupled to the sole structure and has a medial portion and a lateral portion. The slotted eyelet is formed in the medial portion or the lateral portion and has a major axis and a minor axis. A length of the slotted eyelet along the major axis is larger than a width of the slotted eyelet along the minor axis. The opening is formed in the medial portion or the lateral portion, and the opening is spaced apart from the slotted eyelet. The tensile strand has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion extends through the opening and defines an aperture adjacent the slotted eyelet, and the second portion extends from the first portion toward the sole structure.
Abstract: A sole structure for an article of footwear includes a first plate having a first surface. The first plate includes a forefoot region at an anterior end, a heel region at a posterior end, and a mid-foot region. The sole structure further includes a second plate having a second surface opposing the first surface of the first plate. The second plate has a first end attached to the forefoot region of the first plate and a second end that is spaced apart from the first surface of the first plate. A cushion is disposed between the first plate and the second plate and has a first side attached to the first surface of the first plate and a second side attached to the second surface of second plate. The cushion extends continuously from a medial side of the sole structure to a lateral side of the sole structure.

The upper is coupled to the sole structure and has a medial portion, a lateral portion, an interior surface, and an exterior surface. The tensile strand has a first portion, a second portion, and a third portion disposed between the first and second portions. The first and second portions are disposed adjacent the interior surface of the upper and have a first cross-sectional profile that is flat. The third portion extends from the exterior surface of the upper and has a second cross-sectional profile that is rounded.
Abstract: Automated painting of a shoe sole portion of a shoe is enhanced by use of a jig. The shoe sole portion may be secured between top and bottom plates of the jig such that a side surface of the shoe sole portion is left exposed. Additionally, the jig is adapted to create configurable masking lines along the side surface of the shoe sole portion using multi-layer deforming layers.
