The stereomicroscope includes a base 1 that places a sample thereon, a microscope body 9 having a pair of left and right observation optical systems for observing the sample and a photographing optical system that leads the light from the sample substantially corresponding to the focusing center of the observation optical systems to a imaging means 17, a column 3 that is disposed on the base 1 and supports the microscope body 9, a support means that supports the imaging means 17, and a connecting means 13 that rotatably connects the microscope body 9 to the column 3. An optical axis I of the photographing optical system becomes substantially parallel to a rotation axis O of the connecting means.

Abstract: A distance measuring apparatus, which can achieve reduction in cost and size and perform measurement ranging from short-distance to long-distance accurately, includes an unit outputting first pulsed light L1 to a measurement object, an unit detecting first pulsed light L2 reflected by the measurement object to output a signal responsive to an intensity variation thereof, a measuring unit measuring a time difference between output and detection of the first pulsed light during a period when an intensity of the signal is larger than a predetermined value, a measuring unit measuring the time difference at a time when an intensity of the signal varies from less than a predetermined value to the predetermined value or more, and an unit calculating a distance to the measurement object using a time difference measured by at least one of the two measuring units.
Abstract: An optical apparatus that can take an image at any inclination. Further, the optical apparatus is provided with a function that a user can know the inclination. A visual field frame having the same shape as an imaging unit is provided in a lens-barrel such that the visual field frame can rotate, being interlocked with rotation of the imaging unit. Further, the optical apparatus is provided with a function of detecting rotation of the imaging unit itself interlocked with rotation of the visual field frame and rotation of the imaging unit caused by rotation of the lens-barrel at the time of adjusting the pupil distance or the like. At recording, an image is recorded in an inclined state adapted for the rotation of the imaging unit. As a result, even if the imaging unit is inclined contrary to the user's will at the time of adjusting the pupil distance, the imaging unit can be returned to be horizontal by rotating the visual field frame.

A part of optical members that compose the optical system is held to allow angular displacement relative to the housing, and the position of the part of the optical members is maintained in a predetermined state. The part of the optical members is driven to restore the position angularly displaced. A driving amount is controlled based on information of the angular displacement. A mode for controlling the housing that is suitable for vibration applied to the housing is determined, and the mode is informed to a user.
