Abstract: An electrical connector includes a male assembly and a female assembly matingly receiving the male assembly. Each of the male and female assemblies includes a protective member biased to normally cover the corresponding one of the male-side and female-side electrical terminals. When the male assembly is inserted into the female assembly, the male member pushes the female-side protective member into the housing of the female assembly against the biasing action imparted to the protective member. When the protective member of the male assembly is fully inserted into the housing, it is stopped by a shoulder provided in the housing. As the male assembly is further inserted into the female-side housing, it engages the inside surface of the housing. In that case, both the terminals of the male and female assemblies are exposed from the corresponding protective members and electrically engaged with each other.

Abstract: The car cigar lighter of the present invention has such construction that it can easily be mounted on the panel nearby the driver's seat of a car and is superior in the operating ease and safety. Namely, it is characterized in that a holder and a positioning projection are formed on a socket by processing and on the other hand, at the center of a plug housed into said socket, a circular groove is formed and at the skirt portion of said plug, a ringed projection is formed respectively to enable controlling the sinking action of the knob by engaging the component members mentioned above with each other and also, with a base holder fixed into the cavity of the knob, a push nut secured to the base shaft of shaft body is press-fitted into the base holder to stick the knob easily to the shaft body. Further at the opening edge of a flange, a heat insulating resin ring is fitted to cover the edge, whereby any person who uses the cigar lighter can be prevented from getting burned.

Abstract: A four-way lever switch which can occupy four different switching positions by moving the shift lever and which upon release of the shift lever, it and its apertaining parts at once return to their neutral positions. In the switch, a block carrying movable contacts moves on stationary contacts arranged on the base of the housing and its movements are guided by a plate mounted on the block. The guide plate is provided with an oblong aperture in which a hollow cube formed integrally with the block is movably inserted. The block moves laterally along the oblong aperture while the guide plate remains stationary. The guide plate moves only when the block is shifted in the direction perpendicular to the oblong aperture. By means of the guide plate, the movements of the contact carrying block are correctly conducted and no disturbance in the relative positions between the stationary and the movable contacts occurs.

Abstract: This invention has for its object to activate buzzers and lamps provided in warning and signalling apparatuses for automotive vehicles by the vibration of a common source such as to simplify the construction as well as to ensure reliable function. This invention resides in electrically stimulating a tiny quartz-oscillator sealed in a capsule to vibrate at an ultra-high frequency, passing the signal from the oscillator through a frequency-divider so as to split it into a number of lesser frequency signals, amplifying them and feeding appropriate signals to buzzers and lamps.
