    Abstract: A coating composition comprising (A) 0.05 to 7% by mass of a fluoro group-containing silicon compound or a hydrolysate thereof, (B) 5 to 65% by mass of fine particles of the oxide of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of Si, Al, Sn, Sb, Ta, Ce, La, Fe, Zn, W, Zr, In and Ti, (C) 10 to 80% by mass of a specific silicon compound or a partial hydrolysate thereof, and (D) 0.1 to 60% by mass of a compound which can react with an epoxy group or a silanol group, wherein the amount of the component (A) is based on the mass of the component (C), and the amounts of the components (B), (C) and (D) are based on the total mass of the components (A), (B), (C) and (D). This composition provides to a plastic lens a hard coat layer which is free from a dyeing speck even when it is dyed after it is stored for a long period of time, experiences a small change in the color of a dye before and after storage, can be dyeable and has high hardness.

This transparent laminate comprises a transparent plastic substrate and a coating film formed on at least one side of the plastic substrate by applying and curing a liquid primer composition which comprises (A) a self-emulsifiable emulsion of a linear polyurethane having a pendant carboxylic acid group and no crosslinked structure between polymer chains, (B) a sol of an inorganic oxide having a hydrophobic group on the surface, and (C) a compound having 5 to 9 carbon atoms and at least one hydroxyl group and at least one oxygen atom other than an oxygen atom constituting a hydroxyl group in the molecule.

    Abstract: A panel is composed of synthetic resins and coated with an antifogging layer, the panel having a plastics substrate formed as a board or film or molded into any desired shape. The panel further has a heat generating pattern as the antifogging layer formed on the substrate and composed of a conductive paste, and a hard coat covering the layer and mainly composed of a silicone resin. The conductive paste is composed of a resinous binder, a conductive agent and a solvent, and the binder is selected from a group consisting of (i) a saturated polyester, (ii) a mixture of the polyester and a polyvinyl chloride, (iii) a mixture of the polyester and a copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate, and (iv) a mixture of the polyester, the polyvinyl chloride and the copolymer. The heat generating pattern layer protects the resin panel from fogging, and the hard coat enhances scratch resistance and weather resistance to the panel.
