  • Publication number: 20020193900
Abstract: In a tracking apparatus for tracking an object by the use of a plurality of detecting data sets supplied from a detecting device, a velocity presuming portion is provided together with a position presuming portion. The position presuming portion finds a presumed position of the object at the latest detecting time of the detecting data sets by the use of the latest detecting time and regression curves found on the basis of the detecting data sets. The velocity presuming portion finds a presumed velocity of the object at the latest detecting time by the use of the regression curves and at least one of former detecting times different from the latest detecting time.

  • Patent number: 5485310
Abstract: A linear polarization/conversion apparatus includes a light source, a polarizing beam splitting means, first and second focusing lenses, and first to fourth total reflection mirrors. The light source includes a reflector having a paraboloid of revolution. The polarizing beam splitting means splits light from the light source into a linearly polarized transmission light component and a linearly polarized reflection light component. The first and second focusing lenses are respectively disposed to oppose exit surfaces, of the polarizing beam splitting means, from which the linearly polarized transmission and reflection light components emerge. The first and second total reflection mirrors are inclined at 45.degree. with respect to the exit surfaces, respectively, so as to totally reflect the linearly polarized transmission and reflection light components from the first and second focusing lenses. The third and fourth total reflection mirrors are respectively inclined at 45.degree.

  • Patent number: 5353053
Abstract: Spectral image signals simultaneously provided by two CCD television cameras for an R-image and an IR-image are selected by a visual controller and are sent sequentially to a sending parabolic antenna where two spectral radiometers provided with photosensors measure the amounts of radiation energy of light rays of wavelengths around a wavelength corresponding to the R-image and light rays of wavelengths around a wavelength corresponding to the IR-image to obtain spectral radiation data representing the amounts of spectral radiation energy, respectively.

  • Patent number: 5237399
Abstract: A liquid crystal color projection apparatus includes a light source, dichroic mirrors, transmission type liquid crystal panels, a beam mixing section, two parallel side plates, and bar members. The dichroic mirrors separate light, supplied from the light source, into red, green, and blue beams. The transmission type liquid crystal panels are respectively arranged on the optical paths of the three color beams separated by the dichroic mirrors so as to form images corresponding to the three color beams. The beam mixing section mixes image beams from the transmission liquid crystal panels to reproduce a color image. The side plates have plural pairs of engaging portions, arranged at symmetrical positions, for fixing the dichroic mirrors and the liquid crystal panels at predetermined positions.

  • Patent number: 5105270
Abstract: This invention relates to an image input method and a system therefor for raster-scanning an object which makes periodical movements and for obtaining thermal images thereof. The invention comprises the steps of taking in such periodical movements of the object as trigger signals for each revolution period, controlling the scanning speed of a raster scanning mechanism in accordance with the period of such trigger signals, reading arbitrary and different partial images for each of the raster scanning by the mechanism using the trigger signals as references when synchronization is fully established, and synthesizing imagers for one frame to display thermal images on a TV monitor screen.

  • Patent number: 4639220
Abstract: An apparatus for measuring the three-dimensional position and attitude of upper and lower clutches attached on patient's maxillary and mandibular teeth for computerized measurement of the mandibular movements necessary for the fabrication of dental prostheses is disclosed. The apparatus includes a part of a sphere that is fixed to the mandible and which is marked with a reference line and a part of another sphere of substantially the same radius as that of the above sphere, which is fixed to the maxilla and which is also marked with a reference line. The surfaces of the two spheres are caused to slide against each other, with their centers being in alignment, thereby achieving the measurement of the relative attitude of the two spheres.
