  • Patent number: 9664325
Abstract: A pipe connecting device having a joint body including a fitting cylinder to which a flared synthetic resin-made tube is to be externally fitted, an external thread formed on a radially outward side of the fitting cylinder; and a union nut including an internal thread screwed with the external thread, and a tube pressing portion that presses a diameter changing portion formed between a flared portion in the tube, and a non-flared portion, in the direction of the axis. In a fastening completion state in which the tube pressing portion is caused to press the diameter changing portion by a screw advancement of the union nut, the screw advancement being produced by screwing the internal thread to the external thread, positions of a basal end of the external thread and a tip end of the union nut in the directions of axes coincident with each other.

  • Patent number: 8282106
Abstract: A gland packing which is made of a material configured by windingly laminating an expanded graphite tape into a spiral shape. In the gland packing, ring-like projected parts are disposed on end faces of a die mold packing part made of an expanded graphite tape windingly laminated into a spiral shape so as to be integrated with the part. Ring-like seal members are brought into tight contact with the end faces of the die mold packing part excluding the ring-like projected parts in such a manner that the ring-like projected parts are projected in an axial direction beyond the outer faces of the respective ring-like seal members.

  • Publication number: 20090071341
Abstract: A rotary valve comprising sliding members for supplying treatment gas containing water vapor to a plurality of treatment processes is provided. The rotary valve comprises sliding members (1, 2; 4, 6), through which open flow passages (8, 9, 10), having sliding surfaces slidable to each other and a mechanical seal mechanism for switching the flow passages (8, 9, 10) while sealing fluid by preliminarily pressing the sliding surfaces, wherein the sliding surface of each sliding members (1, 2; 4, 6) is made of hydrophobic material (2, 4) different in hardness from the other.

  • Patent number: 6568689
Abstract: The present invention provides a gland packing in which impairment of the sealing performance due to cracks that unwillingly occur in an end portion in the width direction of an expanded graphite tape of a braiding yarn in the gland packing can be suppressed. In gland packings 1, 2, braiding yarns include braiding yarns 10A in each of which an expanded graphite tape 30 is bent so as to contract in the width direction, and both end portions 31 in the width direction of the bent expanded graphite tape 30 are folded back, or braiding yarns 20A in each of which at least an outer end portion 31′ in the width direction of a twisted expanded graphite tape 30 is folded back.

  • Patent number: 6502382
Abstract: An expanded graphite knitting yarn according to the present invention is covered or bound and covered with a reinforcing material made of a braided body such as stainless steel line members, before an outer periphery of an expanded graphite tape having a predetermined width, which has been subjected to a twisting process, is braided. Therefore, an amount of the expanded graphite particles exfoliated from ends of the expanded graphite tape in the twisting process can be significantly reduced. Moreover, this can prevent the expanded graphite particles from being exfoliated from the end of the expanded graphite tape in a braiding process. Furthermore, the plural expanded graphite knitting yarns are put together and subjected to either braiding or twisting process, thereby forming a gland packing. This can enhance a sealing property and a pressure resistance property of the gland packing.

  • Patent number: 6268061
Abstract: An object constructed of silicon carbide is made up of a plurality of sintered silicon carbide component parts in simple solid forms. This approach allows the production of objects having configurations that are obtainable only with difficulty or not at all by prior art approaches. The component parts are inseparably connected together by means of a silicon carbide film integrally formed on said component parts by chemical vapor deposition. In order to provide substantially improved joint strength and overall structural strength, the silicon carbide film preferably has a crystal structure in which the X-ray diffraction intensity ratio of each crystal face to the (111) face is 0.1 to 10 and/or in which the aspect ratio of crystal grains is 1 to 30.

  • Patent number: 6102627
Abstract: The present invention relates to a technique wherein a sliding member is disposed between a supporting portion formed on a head of a pile and a binding portion formed on a bottom of a footing. Thus, the binding portion of the head of the pile acts as a roller bearing structure or a pin structure, thereby making it possible to relatively slidingly move in a horizontal direction or slidingly rotate the footing and the pile. As a result, the present invention can prevent damage or destruction in applying a great external force such as an earthquake to the structure, enhance execution and achieve low-cost by means of decreasing the amount of reinforcing steel used.

  • Patent number: 6095194
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pulsation suppression device which is interposingly used in a liquid transporting pipe through which a chemical liquid such as a surface washing liquid for washing an IC is transported by a reciprocal pump. The pulsation suppression device of the present invention has: a bellows which partitions the interior of the device body having a sealed container-like shape, into a liquid chamber and an gas chamber; an operating rod which is reciprocated in interlock relationship with the bellows; and an extension and contraction restricting mechanism which, when the bellows extends to a predetermined value, is contacted in parallel with a closed end face of the bellows, thereby restricting further extension of the bellows. Furthermore, the pulsation suppression device of the present invention has a guide for making the reciprocal operation of the operating rod coincident with the extension and contraction directions of the bellows. The guide is made of a low-friction resin material.
