Patents Assigned to Nippon Piston Ring Kabushiki Kaisha
  • Patent number: 4573891
Abstract: The rotary compressor according to the present invention is constructed such that a rotary sleeve is rotatably floating, and suspended within a central housing by means of a pneumatic bearing chamber. A rotor, whose vane can move freely into and out of said rotor is rotatably housed in said rotary sleeve. The outside surface of said rotary sleeve is formed like a barrel, whose radius diminishes axially from the midpoint toward both ends. The inside surface of said central housing spacedly follows the outside surface of said rotary sleeve. Under this construction the rotary sleeve can be automatically adjusted and stabilized in position within the central housing in both the axial and the oscillating directions. Also under this construction which prevents contact between the rotary sleeve and the central housing, wear, scuffing or seizure can be avoided even if the rotary sleeve in thermally deformed and bent outwardly at both ends.

  • Patent number: 4561835
Abstract: The rotary compressor according to the present invention is constructed such that a rotary sleeve is rotatably and floatingly, suspended within a central housing by means of a pneumatic bearing chamber. A rotor, into and out of which a vane can freely move, is rotatably housed within said rotary sleeve. On the periphery of said rotary sleeve a taper is formed continuously extending from both ends toward the axial center. Such a construction ensures inhibition of frictional heat generation in the vane and non-lubricated rotation.

  • Patent number: 4163635
Abstract: In a vane type rotary fluid pump or compressor, a plurality of vanes are slidably fitted in the body of a rotor at an angle with a radial plane passing through the axial center line of the rotor to move radially outwardly from the rotor in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the rotor. Each tip of the vanes is provided with a flat surface frictionally guided by a cylindrical inner wall of a stator housing and a taper surface extending from the front end of the flat surface toward the direction of rotation of the rotor. The flat surface of the vane has a predetermined width sealingly in contact with the inner wall of the stator housing.

  • Patent number: 4061446
Abstract: A rotary fluid pump or compressor having a pair of flexible diaphragm type sealing plates which are clamped on opposite ends of a stator housing by end heads to form a cylindrical pump cavity and to be pressed onto the opposite end faces of a rotor driven within the pump cavity so as to provide sealing between the suction, compression and delivery chambers. Each of the sealing plates comprises a flat flange portion clamped between the end faces of the stator housing and the end head and a substantially cone shaped portion extending radially inwardly from the flat flange portion to be pressed onto the end face of the rotor and substantially coinciding at its apex with the axis of the rotor.

  • Patent number: 4050855
Abstract: A dry air rotary pump or compressor comprises a pair of flexible diaphragm type sealing plates which are clamped on the opposite ends of a stator housing by end heads to form a cylindrical pump cavity and to be pressedly contacted with the opposite end faces of a rotor driven within the pump cavity so as to provide the sealing between the suction and compression chambers of the pump or compressor. Each of the sealing plates is made of a composite consisting essentially, by weight, of 10.0 - 75.0% carbon and/or graphite, 0.1 - 60.0% molybdenum disulfide, 1.0 - 20.0% fluorine resin and the remainder, which is greater than 25.0% of the total composition by weight, being heat resistant synthetic resin without fluorine resin to have a coefficient of elasticity greater than 200 Kg/cm.sup.2.
