Abstract: The purpose is to provide a cathode electrode for manufacturing an electrodeposited copper foil which is possible to be continuously and stably usable for a long duration of 3000 hours or longer to subsequently lessen the frequency of maintenance work execution as low as possible and to contribute to lower the running cost of the electrodeposited copper foil manufacture. As the means for achieving the purpose, a cathode electrode made of a titanium material is employed for obtaining an electrodeposited copper foil using an electrolytic copper solution and the titanium material having 7.0 or higher crystal grain size number and 35 ppm or lower initial hydrogen content is used for manufacturing the cathode electrode for manufacturing an electrodeposited copper foil. Further, also provided is a manufacturing method of the titanium material to be employed for the cathode electrode made of a titanium material.
Abstract: An electric depositing drum is provided for a copper foil producing machine for producing copper foil. In the electrically depositing drum 3 provided with a top skin 2 on an outer circumferential surface of an outer circumferential plate 1a of an inner drum 1, nickel plating or brass plating is effected onto an inner circumferential surface of the top skin 2 to form a plated layer 2m.
Abstract: A method is disclosed for producing an electric deposition foil producing drum for producing an electrically deposited metallic foil having a high quality. An opening tip end portion (14) opened toward the inside is formed in an inner surface portion of a joint portion (13) of an outer skin (12) made from a planar material in the form of a cylinder. The opening end portion (14) is welded from inside, and subsequently, the welded portion (15) and a portion close to the welded portion are bulged outwardly. A layer is welded in a recess (17) formed by the bulging work while cooling the outer surface of the outer skin. Subsequently, the welded layer is peened under a hot or cold work. Subsequently, the peened portion (18) is annealed. It is possible to obtain further advantages by using a welding means which does not require a welding rod for the welding of the joint portion (13).
Abstract: A drum is rotatably immersed as a cathode in an electrolytic solution with an anode placed therein. When a current flow from the anode through the solution to the drum, a metal foil is deposited on the drum as it rotates. The drum includes an electric insulating layer disposed between the outer circumferential surface of an inner drum body and the inner circumferential surface of an outer skin, and an electrically conductive member attached to the outer skin and disposed on one axial end of the inner drum body.
