Patent number: 4902305Abstract: A metal polisher 1 is semi-cylindrical in shape to permit polishing a protruded or a recessed surface portion of a workpiece. A number of grooves 4 are formed circumferentially on a surface on which polishing teeth 3 are formed so as to temporarily store chipped dust arising from a polishing operation and drain the dust as stored.Type: GrantFiled: March 15, 1989Date of Patent: February 20, 1990Assignee: Nippon Tenshashi Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Sachiko Ihata

Patent number: 4837985Abstract: A revolving grinding tool (1) comprises a support (2) mounting on a shaft (10) and an interrupted resilient cylindrical abrasive body (4) mounted on a circumferential cylindrical surface (8) of the support with tongue (5) formed on one butting end of the abrasive body engaging a groove in the circumferential cylindrical surface of said support. Recesses (6) formed on one butting end of the abrasive body and tabs (7) formed on the other end compelment with each other and enable substantially continuous grinding revolution.Type: GrantFiled: May 23, 1988Date of Patent: June 13, 1989Assignee: Nippon Tenshashi KabushikiInventor: Tatsushige Mayama

Patent number: 4794693Abstract: A slider for a cutter knife comprises a slider main body (1) having a protrusion (6) for engaging a cutter blade (40), the blade and slider main body then being inserted into a holder (30) for longitudinal movement therein. A resilient stopper (3) is provided in the slider main body and includes forwardly and backwardly slanted resilient flaps (16,17) whose respective free ends engage two spaced-apart stopper dents (33) formed in the holder. A slider knob (4) is provided on the main body and is movable with respect to the main body to assume a neutral, forward movement, or backward movement position. A release protrusion (5) attached to the slider knob allows both flaps to engage stopper dents when the slider knob is in the neutral position. The release protrusion disengages one or the other of the resilient flaps from the stopper dents when the slider knob is moved to the forward or backward movement position.Type: GrantFiled: July 29, 1987Date of Patent: January 3, 1989Assignee: Nippon Tenshashi Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tatsushige Mayama, Masanobu Ihata, Yoshihiko Yoshimoto

Patent number: 4615118Abstract: A magazine type knife has a magazine which can be fitted in and removed from a magazine storage cavity formed in a main body of the knife. The magazine comprises a magazine case, a base plate, a first elastic body and a second elastic body, all of which are inseparably assembled together, but with which, when the magazine is removed from the main body, the second elastic body is freed to cease to press a forward end portion of the base plate toward a left wall side of the magazine case, thereby making it easy to insert blades into the magazine case.Type: GrantFiled: February 5, 1985Date of Patent: October 7, 1986Assignee: Nippon Tenshashi Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Sachiko Ihata

Patent number: 4526589Abstract: In a method of making a polishing element a photoresist film 2 is first deposited on a surface of metal stock 1. A photomask 3 is then used to selectively cover portions of the deposited photoresist film 2. Thereafter, portions of the photoresist film 2 which are not covered by the photomask 3 are removed in order to leave exposed patterned portions 5 of the metal stock surface. Gulf-shaped recesses 6 are then etched into the exposed portions of the metal stock surface. The formation of gulf-shaped recesses 6 results from the application of a etchant while the metal stock 1 and the etchant are in physical motion relative to one another. After etching, remaining portions of the photoresist film 2 are removed from the metal stock. A polishing element 10 comprising cutting teeth 11 having acute cutting action angles results.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 1984Date of Patent: July 2, 1985Assignee: Nippon Tenshashi Kabushiki KaishaInventor: Sachiko Ibata
