Patents Assigned to Nippon Thompson Company, Ltd.
  • Patent number: 5501528
Abstract: This track rail fixing structure for linear motion units is capable of fixing a track rail on a mounting base without forming fixing bores in the track rail; and correcting the warpage and bend of the track rail. The track rail is provided in the portions thereof which are below raceway grooves therein with cross-sectionally arcuate grooves extending in the longitudinal direction. The mounting base is provided with a longitudinally extending track rail installation groove, in which projections extend in the longitudinal direction thereof. The track rail is set in the track rail installation groove in the mounting base, whereby the track rail is fixed on the mounting base.

  • Patent number: 5150981
Abstract: A ball joint or ball-and-socket joint assembly includes a ball unit terminating in a ball at one end and a socket unit terminating in a socket at one end, whereby the ball of the ball unit is movably received in the socket of the socket unit, so that the ball unit may move relative to the socket unit over a predetermined angle in all planes passing through a common center line defined by the socket. The ball unit includes a ball section, a cut-away section, a nut section and a threaded section in the order mentioned from top to bottom, and the ball section includes an extended portion which is formed by plastic deformation when the ball section is subjected to roll rolling and which partly extends into the space defined by the cut-away section to thereby provide an increased spherical contact surface which may be brought into sliding contact with a spherical surface of the socket.

  • Patent number: 4850540
Abstract: There is provided a stop valve-carrying rotary nozzle for a machine tool designed to eject a fluid onto the portion of a work which is being worked thereby improving the work-cooling and cutting efficiency of the machine tool. The present rotary nozzle consists of a nozzle body having a throughbore and a spherical member having a throughbore that is in turn fitted within the fluid outlet side of said throughbore of the nozzle body with a sealing O-ring being interposed between the spherical member and the throughbore of the valve body, while allowing a free rotation of the spherical member on its own axis therein.

  • Patent number: 4699521
Abstract: A structure for mounting an attachment member to a linear motion rolling contact bearing assembly including a bed, a table and a plurality of rolling members interposed between the bed and the table thereby providing a relative motion between the table and the bed. The mounting structure includes an alignment hole defined in the bed or table, a mounting hole defined in the attachment member, a counter member provided with a threaded hole and a bolt extending through the aligned mounting and alignment holes to be threaded into the threaded hole of the counter member with its head in engagement with the attachment member. In the preferred embodiment, the counter member has a contact surface which is substantially the same as and located opposite to a contact surface of the attachment member.
