Patents Assigned to Niro-Plan AG
  • Patent number: 5016298
Abstract: The invention relates to an accessory set consisting of a cutting board and a colander. The cutting board is provided with a cut-out, whose position and contour are calculated in such a way that the cutting board and the colander, together and complementarily, can be placed in the basin of a sink.

  • Patent number: 4813087
Abstract: To provide a single structured sink unit in which, selectively, household refuse can be separated into garbage (which is biodegradable) and trash (which is not biodegradable), the sink unit is formed with two aligned openings (4, 5) positioned front-to-back. The second opening may have, selectively, a refuse chute (11) inserted therein or a basket (12), for example for cleaning supplies or the like. The openings are alignable with either separate refuse containers (9, 10) or a single container which is compartmentalized, for selective placement of separated trash and garbage or for unseparated refuse.

  • Patent number: 4717809
Abstract: At least one of the heated side walls of the oil container of a deep fryer is unbent to have planar interior and exterior surfaces. A sheet metal channel member, secured to the exterior surface of that side wall by flanges that flatwise overlie it, defines a tubular pocket which is open at one end. An electric heating element is embedded in an elongated heating body of electrically insulating material that is lengthwise slidably received in the tubular pocket with a close fit to be readily replaceable. Heat that the heating body radiates outwardly away from the wall is imparted to the channel member, the flanges of which transfer such heat to the wall in zones adjacent to the heating body.

  • Patent number: 4624020
Abstract: To provide for positive sanitary separation of water spilling or overflowing from a washing sink unit (1), a cleaning sink unit (2) and a third water receiving unit (3), which may be formed as a sink unit or as a drain board, the second unit, located between the first and the third, is surrounded by a raised zone which merges with a forward region of a water retention rim (4) surrounding all the sink units, the raised region (5) terminating short of the rear edge region (19) of the sink unit, and leaving with the water retention rim (4) adjacent the rear edge region a gap (7). A drain and overflow opening (8) is located in the gap. Surfaces of the sink which may be essentially planar are pitched towards the overflow and drain opening, so that any water splashing or overflowing from any one of the three units or regions (1, 2, 3) will drain off into the overflow without flowing back into another one of the units or regions.

  • Patent number: 4602612
Abstract: The deep-fat fryer has an upper basket (41), a heating source (8) below and a heat exchanger in between (13) for the exchange of heat between a gaseous heat exchange medium (57) and the frying oil (55). Thereby thermosiphonic oil circulation results. A blower (29, 31, 32, 33) is arranged, whereof a blower rotor (31) imparts a higher velocity of flow to the heat exchange medium (57) in the heat exchanger (13). The blower (29, 31 through 33) is arranged in the fresh air supply duct (56), in the gas vent (57) and in the cool air supply duct (58) for cooling the flue gases. The three blower wheels (31 through 33) are arranged on one and the same drive shaft (30). This deep-fat fryer takes significantly better advantage of the heat conducted to it. With large energy densities relative to the oil volume, it has minimal specific heating surface loadings and thereby affords optimal relationships.

  • Patent number: 4467777
Abstract: The baking oven (1) has a swingable front wall (2), two side walls (3, 4), a rear wall (5) and a bottom wall (6). They establish a baking chamber (7) in the main portion. At the rear wall (5) is a gas-air mixing chamber (8) with a gas inlet duct (11). Next to it there are four motors (9 and 10). These drive radial blower rotors (12 and 13). Opposite the nozzle block (28) lies a heat exchanger (15). This is of the surface type. It is wavy in one direction so that it has wave crests and wave troughs. Main nozzles (29) are provided on the wave crests, the auxiliary nozzles (30) for the pilot flames are arranged in the wave troughs. The nozzles (29 and 30) produce a short-flamed, coherent flame carpet. On its longitudinal sides four radial blowers (12, 13) are arranged. They are individually regulatable and are reversible as to direction of rotation. Throughout the baking chamber nearly uniform temperature conditions prevail. In operation, the oven produces less noise, due to plural small air circulation blowers.

  • Patent number: 4236060
Abstract: A method for connecting at least one basin of metal sheet to a basin opening of a frame formed of metal sheet by positioning a metal basin with its rim surrounding a basin opening of the frame so that the edge of the opening projects inwardly beyond the rim of the basin and melting this projecting rim by welding without employing additional work material. According to a preferred embodiment, this method is performed by apparatus having a presser plate displaceably mounted on a machine frame, a plunger on a lower end of the frame for centering the basin and basin opening, presser ring attached to the upper end of the cross-head that forms a gap with respect to an upper edge of a basin holder of the presser plate and the plunger necessary for effectuating welding of the basin to the frame, and at least one welding torch mounted so as to be displaceable along a guide track with its nozzle directed at a constant setting angle toward the gap between the plunger and the presser ring.
