  • Patent number: 4620744
Abstract: A slide door locking device for vehicles during feeding of fuel to a fuel tank positioned near a slide door, wherein a stopper lever is so pivotally mounted inside a panel of a body, the panel defining the rear end of a door opening, that the front end of the stopper lever may project into the door opening beyond the front end of the panel and engage with a stop member attached to the slide door, and an actuating lever is pivotally disposed to the panel, projecting into a hollow formed in the panel, for a fuel supply inlet, and is coupled to the rear end of the stopper lever via a link member. When the actuating lever is operated during feeding of fuel to a fuel tank, the front end of the stopper lever engages with the stop member of the slide door to prevent it from opening when it is opened.

  • Patent number: 4588219
Abstract: A door handle unit suitable for use in an automobile which handle unit includes a handle arm pivotally secured on a door panel with its free end outwardly and retractably extendable through the bottom wall of a recess formed in the door panel, a handle comprising pushing and pulling parts in its end portions, which handle is pivotally attached to the free end of the handle arm so that the handle may be moved between a fully-closing position where the handle covers up the opening of the recess, and an opening position where the desired clearance is established in a part of the opening of the recess, while the free end of the handle arm is settled in the recess, and means which biases the handle toward the fully-closing position. When the handle is in the opening position, the clearance permits a driver or passenger to insert his fingers thereinto so that the handle is pulled to open the door.

  • Patent number: 4560197
Abstract: For the purpose of preventing a vehicle sliding door from falling off, a stopper member is fixedly secured to the vehicle body and a coacting surface is provided on a bracket mounted on the vehicle door. As guide rollers of the vehicle sliding door tilt under an external force applied to the vehicle door, the stopper member engages with the coacting surface and prevents the rollers from derailment. Since the stopper member extends laterally, it is effective for preventing the sliding door from falling off even when the sliding door is deformed.

  • Patent number: 4502246
Abstract: For the purpose of holding a slide door of a vehicle at its fully opened position, a catch lever is provided on a bracket which is pivotally mounted on the slide door and a stopper means is additionally provided on the bracket to prevent the excessive pivoting of the catch lever. Because of the pivotable mounting of the bracket and the provision of the stopper means, the catch lever is prevented from being interfered by a curved portion of the guide rail guiding the sliding motion of the slide door for smooth opening and closing of the door and the device is free from any pronounced protrusion on the part of both the door and the guide rail.

  • Patent number: 4483553
Abstract: A passive seat belt for an automobile is disclosed. A guide rail is mounted to a sashless door or a roof side rail, and a movable anchor member is adapted to move in the groove of the guide rail so that the one end of a belt, connected to the free end of the movable anchor member, may be kept at a certain height higher than the door panel for preventing the belt from contacting a part of a body of a driver or a passenger. The guide rail may be straight and positioned horizontally or may be bent at the rear end of the door. The movable anchor member may be locked by a locking stop. The guide rail is covered by a decorative trim piece. The movable anchor member is reinforced by a reinforcing member mounted to the door, the pillar, or the like of the automobile.
