A residue is formed of Fe and unavoidable impurities. Each element satisfies a relationship of 5*C %?Si %+Mn %?1.5*Al %<1 within the aforementioned range of the corresponding content. An average diameter of particles of a Ti-based carbide is from 20 to 100 nm. In this way, the Ti-based carbide is dispersed finely and uniformly, thereby enhancing heat spot resistance and antiwear performance.

    Abstract: The present invention suppresses deterioration in the corrosion resistance of a worked portion resulting from working cracks in a Zn-based plated layer (3) in a workpiece (2) formed into a predetermined shape by performing plastic working on a Zn-based plated steel sheet (1) coated with a Zn-containing metal as a raw material. That is, plastic working is performed on a raw material that is a Zn-based plated steel sheet (1) to obtain a workpiece (2) having a predetermined shape, and thereafter, pressurization processing is performed on a worked portion in a sheet thickness direction to deform the plated metal, thus decreasing the width of working cracks in the plated metal. Accordingly, it is possible to reduce the deterioration in the corrosion resistance of the worked portion of the Zn-based plated workpiece.

    Abstract: A hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer is formed on a surface of a base steel sheet by immersing the base steel sheet in a hot-dip Zn alloy plating bath containing Al and Mg. An aqueous solution containing a polyatomic ion including Si4+ and/or a polyatomic ion including Cr6+ is then contacted with a surface of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer. All of the aqueous solution coating the surface of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer is removed with a squeeze roller. The aqueous solution contains the polyatomic ion in a concentration of 0.01 g/L or more in terms of atom of Si and Cr. A surface temperature of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer when the aqueous solution is contacted with the surface of the hot-dip Zn alloy plating layer is 100° C. or above and equal to or less than a solidifying point of the plating layer.

    Abstract: The present invention provides a novel method for supplying a reducing gas to the shaft part of a blast furnace with which a large amount of reducing gas containing hydrogen at a high concentration can be supplied to a deeper position in the blast furnace (location of the blast furnace closer to the center axis in the radial direction) and with which it is possible to reduce the total generated amount of CO2 of the CO2 amount that is reduced by conducting hydrogen smelting in the blast furnace and the CO2 amount that is generated during production of the reducing gas supplied to the blast furnace. The method for supplying a reducing gas to the shaft part of a blast furnace according to the present invention is characterized by reforming coke oven gas by increasing the temperature thereof to 1200 to 1800° C.
