Patents Assigned to Nitta Industries Corporation
  • Patent number: 5175214
Abstract: The invention relates to a pressure-sensitive conductive elastomer compound which exhibits high resistance (insulating performance) when it is in non-pressed condition and the resistance of which, as the compound is pressed, varies according to the magnitude of the pressure. The compound comprises a matrix material having insulating and elastomeric properties and baked and carbonized conductive spherical particles of a macromolecular material incorporated and dispersed into the matrix material. The conductivity of the conductive particles varies according to the degree of their carbonization.

  • Patent number: 5066344
Abstract: An endless belt comprising a belt main body prepared from a liquid castable elastomeric material, a reinforcing fabric providing over the surface of the main body, and a shock absorbing layer of elastomeric material formed between the main body and the fabric. The belt is in the form of a flat belt or a belt having teeth or projections on at least one side thereof, has improved bending resistance and is operable with diminished noise. The belt is prepareed by a process comprising the steps of forming a shock absorbing layer of elastomeric material over the surface of a reinforcing fabric, fitting the fabric to one of an inner die and an outer die with the layer facing the other die, and pouring or injecting a liquid castable elastomeric material into a space between the fabric and the other die for molding.

  • Patent number: 4964254
Abstract: A crosspiece supporting pad in a structural construction member including a resilient member having concavely curved surfaces on its upper and lower sides, and a pair of rigid members each having a convexly curved surface which mates with the concavely curved surfaces of the resilient member. The rigid members are respectively fixed to the upper and lower sides of the resilient member with their convexly curved surfaces respectively held in mating relation with the concavely curved surfaces of the resilient member. The pad has sufficient strength to support a crosspiece in expansion joints and adequately absorbs displacement occuring at the ends of the crosspiece due to a live load and further restrains compressive deformation due to the live load.

  • Patent number: 4852882
Abstract: A golf practicing device for use by a golfer by mounting it on his head when the golfer trains himself in hitting a golf ball with a golf club, which constantly permits accurate hitting of the ball and thus can serve for improvement of the golfer's golfing skill. The device comprises a body and a vision constricting element having at least two vision constricted view apertures, the golfer being allowed to look at the golf ball only through the vision constricted view apertures via the body. The body abuts a face area around the eyes, and since the sight of the golfer is disrupted at least at both sides, right and left, the golfer is obliged to hit while looking at the ball through the vision constricted view apertures. The view apertures can be adjusted with respect to their position and diameter according to the height, physical constitution, and inter-pupil distance of the golfer.
